Well we unfortunately are on the edge of our seats hoping to hold on to a national seed.

Nope; last game was rained out.

Went 1-1

We need to win 2 in the sec tourney to lock up a national seed, otherwise it is uncertain. At least that's what I think farmer told me.

I'd say 3 wins in the tourney (Make it to the championship) locks it up without a doubt. Only 2 wins could still leave aTm on the outside looking in IMO.

It all depends on what other teams do too.

I think Vandy, Florida and A&M are competing for one national seed. I don't see the SEC getting 3 this year unless some teams stumble this week.

Whoever gets more wins in the tourney out of aTm and UF will get the seed IMO. Vandy only gets it if they win the whole thing.

I agree with this. It isn't how it should be done. The top 8 should be the top 8 regardless of conference, but based on history we aren't getting 3 national seeds this year.

I think A&M might have the slightest of edges of Vandy & UF and here is why. UF finished 4th in conference. I have a hard time thinking the comittee gives it to UF over Vandy & A&M unless something drastic happens in the tourney. As it stands now Vandy is at 12 in the RPI. I have a hard time seeing the committee give it to Vandy over UF & A&M with UF having the H2H and both having higher RPIs. That leaves A&M. Top 8 RPI (1 behind UF) and top 3 finish (behind LSU & Vandy).

I think Florida Vandy and A&M are playing for 2 national seeds.

FSU getting swept this weekend probably put them out of national seed consideration. As I predicted last week:

LSU
TCU
Illinois
Louisville
UCLA

Good position but on the bubble:
Florida
Miami
Vandy
A&M
Dallas Baptist
Missouri St

I think Miami and Florida are going to get two of those, which leaves 1 for A&M, Vandy, Dallas Baptist, and Mizzou St. I think A&M and Vandy can win their way to a national seed in the SEC tourney. If neither of that happens, winner of the Valley tournament either Dallas Baptist or Mizzou St. will get the last seed.

Note: Florida is in better position because higher SOS, RPI, and they have the best series win against Vandy than A&M and Vandy have. Outside of finishing first in the SEC, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in SEC is splitting hairs. That will not have any merit when it comes to national seeding.
