Boyd oft-times has it more right than most of us have been willing to accept or give him credit for over the years.

Forget that he's a grinder ... he's never let that play into his rating system and he's been tweaking and refining that rating system of his for a couple of decades now.

I know that, IMHO, SCAR is a little overrated right now. That's okay, they've got plenty of time to get their chemistry right and morph into a CWS contender ... but right now they are a little overrated.

Great idea. Why don't you get the stats and post them here, for everyone's enjoyment, not just your own. Thanks in advance.

This Arkansas team is probably ranked too high at 140. Unless there is a dramatic turn around this season I expect things will only get worse.

I mean it's an index, not a ranking. I'm not sure how he could insert bias for MSU into a formula.

"Rating" "index" po-tay-toe/po-tah-toe ... where did anyone call it a "ranking?"

Answer me that and then I'll show you where I clearly stated he has never let being a grinder play into his his "rating" system.

So we all agree Collegiate Baseball is hands down the best, most accurate, most reliable poll right?

I guess the whole point i was making is you said he never let the fact that he's a grinder play into his rating system.

That's impossible to do anyway. Statement just didnt make a lot of sense.

Don't count-me-in on that ... I could not disagree with your assertion more.

I do agree that College Baseball is conducive to producing a legit national championship given its playoff system.

seeding - regioinals - super regioinals - CWS.

Especially since they made it a three game championship series at the CWS rather than a one game winner takes all on the final day.

I was being sarcastic. It just happens to be the one poll that has A&M #1.

So the man who tweaks the algorithms ... he has no sway over the outcome?

to the effect that it could create bias towards MSU, no.

So Google does not tweak algorithms to favor it's own sites and advertisers?

So Facebook does not tweak algorithms to favor it's agenda?

So it has not been proven that certain computer polls, such as Jeff Sagarin's, were tweaked to favor teams in specific regions of the country, or with strong traditions? Somuchso that certain computer polls and ratings systems were eliminated from the current playoff system structure?

I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree.

You're claiming his rating system is foolproof and incorruptible while even he (Boyd) would not boast the same claim.

You're talking about the pseudo-RPI, not a ranking system like Sagarin. He's trying to mimic the official RPI.

I'm certain the Vactican, the Queen, the Gettys, the Rothchilds, and MSU control everything though so you're probably right
