"You gotta be fricking blind if you think Jones is actually the best center in CFB. The difference is.. he plays for a winning team. Just like the heisman.. these awards are popularity contests."

So you agree that the Honey Badger was in New York last year solely because LSU was the #1 team???

Congratulations for a well deserved award turns into tiger boo hoo frenzy. In other words, same old crap.

Barret was in church on crutches on Sunday morning following the SECCG. He was there after the road game in Missouri. He's got a 4.0 right?

AND he's played three positions on the line, won awards at most everyone of them, and will be a multi millionaire this time next year.

I'm not saying going to church makes you a "good guy." I'm just saying he's not Tyrann Mathieu.

Thug POS.

do you guys remember the old UA commercial with Demeco Ryans where they listed all his accomplishments and then at the end it said "Demeco Ryans is the University of Alabama." I think its about time Barrett got his own commercial.

I still haven't seen anyone mention a center that was better than him.

He was in NY ONLY because the heisman is a popularity award. It has almost nothing to do with stats (Mark Ingram for example) and nearly everything to do with "memorable moments" and ESPN buzz.

Ryan Kelly is much better. Kid's making All-Freshman teams by just participating in pre-game warmups. Just imagine when he actually plays in the game.

I won't presume to know who was the best center, but from the few games I saw him play, it was underwhelming. He's a good player, but if he's the best center in the country, this has to be the worst year for centers in...ever.

Why? Because he did what most first year Centers would do against a guy like Nealy? BJ wasn't prepared to play a guy like that, and as a first year Center he's not quite as quick off of the snap because he isn't used to it. Those quick guys on the interior would give a lot of first year centers problems. He looked amazing against the likes of John Jenkins, Bennie Logan, and Anthony Johnson just to name a few.

2 time SEC champion
2 time national champion (possibly 3)
Outland trophy winner
Rimington award winner
3 time all-American

The most decorated player in SEC history, lets taste those tears Lsu fans. It's pathetic y'all hate a guy so much for pointing out a fact, "we will restore the order"

He's a great player He's just not the best center in the country. The irony here is in the Banks winning the Thorpe award.. and Alabama fans bitching about it being a "career" award and that Dee got screwed.

You can't make this shite up
