The 2012 season being his first at the center position, Jones graded out an average of 90.8 percent in Alabama’s 12 regular season games. Over the course of 656 plays, he missed only six assignments and did not give up a sack.

The Germantown, Tenn. native has enjoyed a remarkable career with the Crimson Tide, by any standard. A stalwart of the Alabama offensive line since his freshman year, Jones started 49 games and played three different positions, including right guard, left tackle and center. Prior to the 2012 season, Jones played right guard in 2009 and 2010 before moving to left tackle in 2011 and winning the Outland Trophy. He is a three-time All-SEC honoree and has been named a first team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America and CBSSports.com

We lose 3/4 on the DL, maybe our only good LB in the last few years, and probably a decent (but overrated) safety.

Posted this a day or two ago too. No sacks and only 6 missed assignments is outstanding.

Nah, but he might be the best I've ever seen.
Center was a necessity, so he wouldn't be in full view.
I predict a difficult transition to the NFL. They're not going to allow his "technique".
He does seem to be a genuinely good guy, and I probably haven't watched an offensive lineman on tape outside of LSU's more than him.
I'll be interested in seeing his progress at the next level.
Congrats to him.

Is that the best you have? Kill your whine sweetheart?

Your opinion is obviously biased.

If Barrett wins anything else, the LSU fans' head will explode.

Let's see, Barrett's second award this year not including all SEC honors and still more awards that he is up for. Yeah, I am alone on an island here chief.

Im pretty sure holding is called in the NFL.
