That is not the athletic dept

Tell that to USC and Ohio State. And you are being obtuse if you think that the Athletic Department isn't responsible for the actions of its coaches and athletes. That place should be off limits to all players and it isn't. You should know when your players get $33,000 worth of stuff they didn't have before. A western union reciept should be worth more than a "we will look into it."

So MSU was shady when they had a ten win season? Cause Merlins is damn sure no Saban.

That 10 win team was made up of a lot of mediocre recruits, there was no stellar class that led to it.

No...it's a witch hunt. The 2013 recruiting class was just the stars-aligning in the perfect way, UGA has tunsilitis, SEC office doesn't like OM beating BAMA and shaking up the status quo, Lindsay Miller is vindictive, Leo Lewis ratted us out in an unprecedented immunity deal.

Or maybe you cheated, got caught, lied about it, continued to cheat, and got caught again.

Lack of Institutional Control, this shite covers:
Academic Fraud
Multiple OM sports involved
Multiple coaches
Multiple AD's
Multiple years

It's evident the "Institution" had zero control of OM Athletics, it's spread over numerous sports and covers too many people.

Failure to Monitor:
Failed to monitor Tunsil's car rental even after the NCAA informed OM of his past habits.

Failed to monitor recruiting activities while still under NCAA investigation.

shite keeps popping up and is still uncovered proves OM hasn't monitored a damn thing.

It's your prerogative to throw shite back at Alabama, go ahead.

Alabama isn't currently standing on their tip-toes with the NCAA's noose around their neck waiting for the henchman to kick the stool out from under them.

this is false. the ncaa has never granted immunity TO PLAYERS THAT SIGNED WITH OTHER SCHOOLS in exchange for incriminating testimony.

Dude, you couldn't possibly be more wrong. In addition to the previously named player they gave a metric shaitton of players that didn't sign with Miami immunity during the Nevin Shaprio investigation.

You think they had all this stuff on us but then decided later to add a terrible precedent like giving players at other team/ immunity to snitch?

Giving players immunity is not a new tool....they have done this in the past, so they aren't setting a new precedent. I'm pretty sure they used this during the UT/Pearl investigation, and from what I understand, OM's very own Doug Buckles was given immunity to snitch during the MSU/Sherrill investigation.

And they aren't giving programs immunity. They don't need to, because they are only going to ask the player about their recruitment by the school that is under investigation....otherwise, they wouldn't get any cooperation from the players or the other teams.

now that you bring it up, how does one go about changing their username without creating a new account? when my program is annihilated by the ncaa, maybe I can change it to REBSwifoutaCAUZ

The worst part of this whole saga is that it shows just how cottupt the NCAA is. Did Ole Miss cheat? Probably so. To what extent? There's the rub. We did no more really than any other school that wants to compete in the power five and there have been other schools that have done much worse. (Miami anyone? Louisville?) For what ever reason we will get probably get hammered while other institutions seem to get a slap on the wrist or a free pass. The inconsistancy is infuriating.

The rebs catch hell for the "they hate us cause they aint us" posts. But, nobody ever heard of Barney Farrar and this thread is about to hit 10 pages. Lots of interest in seeing OM burn, it seems

5-5 didn't get us under the ncaa microscope. 2 wins against the crimson tide,a sugar bowl win, and SNITCH U did that.

Actually, if you are honest, blatant cheating and a hypocrite coach is why you are under the microscope.

No, No it was definitely us at SNITCH U.

And they would do damn well to remember that we have the power to turn their entire Athletic Dept. upside down any time we want.
