WTF? Show some contrition and a semblance of compliance when you are under the NCAA microscope for years on end.

Didn't bama coaches just get caught paying players recently? Even after being under the NCAA microscope for the last decade?

At least one year too late to offer as a sacrificial lamb.

NCAA going in dry.

Fall guy, nothing more. I don't want to hear Freeze talking about how he "knew nothing". This guy was given a nice little package and told to take the fall.

THE DAY Freeze was hired we said they would be in trouble and it would be quick. Ole Miss said frick it and threw caution to the wind knowing what Freeze would do. They got tired of Liberty Bowls and said we'll deal with the consequences later.

Here's a pretty good synopsis made by one of the state boards:

Freeze's first stint with Ole Miss lasted 3 seasons, the 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons. An incredible amount of guys that coached for OM in that 3 year period are now coaching again for Ole Miss, especially when you consider that Ole Miss had a record of 10-26 during that time. They obviously weren't rehired by Freeze for their coaching abilities. Here is a list of guys that coached for OM in 2005, 2006 or 2007 and were hired by OM again at some point since Freeze was appointed Head Coach.

1. Hugh Freeze: Current Head Coach; Ole Miss Assistant AD for External Affairs 2005, TE coach/Recruiting Coordinator 2006-2007.
2. Chris Kiffin: Current DL Coach/Recruiting Coordinator; Grad Assistant at Ole Miss in 2007.
3. Grant Heard: Current WR Coach; Grad Assistant at Ole Miss from 2005-2006.
4. Dan Werner: Current Offensive Coordinator; Co-OC/QB Coach at OM from 2005-2007.
5. Matt Luke: Current Assistant Head Coach/OL Coach/Co-Offensive Coordinator; TE coach at Ole Miss from 2005-2007.
6. Tom Luke: Current Assistant AD for Player Development; Coordinator of Football Operations at Ole Miss in 2005.
7. Maurice Harris: Current TE Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Offense: Assistant AD for Internal Affairs at Ole Miss in 2006.
8. Barney Farrar: Current Assistant AD for High School and Junior College relations; Assistant AD for External Affairs at Ole Miss from 2006-2007.
9. Chris Rippon: Current Assistant AD for Recruiting Operations; Special Teams Coordinator/DB Coach at Ole Miss from 2005-2007.
10. Lee Wilbanks: Current Assistant AD for Player Personnel; Ole Miss football team Intern in 2006.

From 2005 to 2007, Ole Miss saw two 3-win seasons and one 4-win season. Hugh Freeze has hired rehired 10 guys that coached during that time. TEN. Something doesn't seem right there.

Black Bear fans here, a serious question: since your A.D. was so strong in supporting Freeze, backing him 100%, IF anything were to come down ( color me skeptical after the NCAA's investigation into Cam at AU) would any of this fall on his shoulders as well? He was adamant that Freeze/Black Bears did nothing wrong. Yet, if Freeze knew, did he not as well?

Now add in the guy that committed academic fraud and the guy that Charlie Strong had to fire due to the OM NCAA investigation and it's popcorn worthy.

I think if we get hit hard then bjork should be fired. His handling of this has been awful.

If you get hit hard, Hugh gets the brunt due to the new NCAA rules that the HC is ultimately responsible. Bjork should take a tumble too.

Oh yeah. Not only because of that but he hired the women's basketball coach that started this whole thing.
