The fact you say we are fair weather fans is such bs the fact is the fans took a stand in 2012 as the season progressed and would not put up with the crap that was being presented.

2012 Notre Dame went 12-0. How much respect did the Rant have for them? Alabama did not play a strong schedule. Nose guard and cornerback were not up to Alabama's standards. The o-line play was inferior to previous seasons too. 2013 Alabama was one of Saban's worst teams, yet they still managed to almost win the SEC. What does that say about the rest of the conference last season? Oh, that's right, Florida and Georgia were decimated by injuries and LSU underachieved. The league wasn't that strong last year. Missouri, South Carolina, and LSU squeaked out wins in their bowl games. Alabama and Georgia lost to inferior teams. Auburn blew a 3 possession lead. Get real!

I sat through several years of mediocre Bama football but never wavered in my support. In 2012, one was hard pressed to find an Auburn flag on a car, a person wearing an Auburn jersey, etc. Nothing wrong with taking a stand. But too many abandoned their team... and that is fair weathered.
Another example. Couldn't find five people in central Alabama wearing an Auburn jersey before the Bama game last year. After the Iron Bowl, they were everywhere. That's fair weather. Pretty simple.

They didn't abandon their team they stop supporting the Athletic department and coaches. I have live in Alabama for 37 years and I hardly saw flags or other Alabama apparel until Saban was hired in the Dubose and Shula years so we all have them so get off your high horse.
