You aren't wrong, but not many quarterbacks can throw to Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, and Jeremy Shockey.
That being said, Bama's qb won't need to come in and destroy everybody.

Matt Mauck started half the 2002 season before breaking his foot at the end the UF game and then returned to be the starter of the 2003 LSU team. Not sure I would qualify that as a new QB.
And Flynn had his one Peach Bowl start before the 2007 campaign, but I would count that one since it was just one start.

I'll resist...
The West will be brutal again next year. A really good team could esily have 2 losses within the west...and then in Bama's case a Florida loss is not unthinkable either.

And McCarron is a RS Sophomore, what's the big deal? Both of them were "new" in that they'd never been the starter. McCarron has actually been on the field more than McElroy was though.

From the little I saw of McCarron, I wasn't impressed. It'll be interesting to see the QB race at Bammer over the Spring.

Well, he was 24-3 as a starter. He was a good QB.
