Whatever happened to PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Its not Saban's fault Andre Smith is a fat lard, college football players are not dumb little kids. At that point you should be a man and willing to accept the consequences for your actions. This includes dumb arse players taking money/gifts from agents.

This is the wordiest word that I've ever worded...

Word!

I like when professional teams try and blame the college the kid came out of... it's like a college trying to blame the high school - ridiculous

If you like the player draft him - if you didn't then why did you get him?

This is rich coming from the Bengals. They saw him run that 40. They knew he ditched the combine.

Now that he is actually being asked to show some drive and self-respect, he has no fricking clue how to step it up.

Wow, love how some Bama fans have no problem throwing a former player under the bus. Guess when he can;t block for you anymore he isn't worth shite...

Former Bama player or not, the dude gets paid plenty to put in a little work. If I was getting that kind of paycheck, you bet your arse I'd be working to keep it.

Truth is, it's nobody's fault but Smith's. I like the guy, but if he can't get motivated to make millions of dollars for playing a game, the problem is all his.

Yeah, let's hold Saban accountable for another man's actions. :) makes sense.

uh, no everyone saw this coming. The Bengals were out of their minds to draft fat smith that high and I'd be willing to bet most bama fans knew that too.

Was it the All-American, All-SEC, or numerous lineman awards that tipped you off? Or was it the fact that he started at left tackle from the day he set foot on campus till the day that he left that proved how shitty he was?

Whether the guy is correct or not is up for debate, but about 2 weeks ago one of the announcers for the ESPN college football show said that he has spoken with several NFL people and Saban's opinion of a player is valued above the thoughts of any other college coach. Saban was not a big fan of Andre Smith and I highly doubt that he told any team that Andre had a tremendous work ethic.

These teams knew what they were getting when they signed that fat, lazy, selfish tub and they took a gamble that has not paid off.

Andre is fine, when he has people on his case 24/7.
