Let's think about it.
I've got a QB that's only a Jr that's as good as my Heisman winner. My Heisman winner will only be in school one more season, and they were neck-and-neck, so win the starter leaves, there's no fall off. So what am I gonna do?
I'm gonna LET his neck-and-neck backup walk and go to the school that is more than likely my biggest opposition to another natty.
Yeah, sounds legit.

He's been the starter since the spring.
I expect him to frick up a decent amount in pass protection. I imagine we'll put Vogler beside him often as not if he struggles too much. I have high hopes for him in terms of run-blocking, though.

No, no. We don't get it. Everyone else does. If Sims starts, Jimbo lied and Coker is crap. Can't have anything to do with Sims being in the system for five years and having his teammates respect. And Sims is only as good as A-Day.
And if Coker starts, he still sucks. That's how this must work to fit the narrative.
And and Kiffin will wreck the train. Saban is senile now. And we can't stop any offense that uses a spread.

The trolling in this thread is hilarious. I am disappointed that Coker hasnt separated himself yet, but I also understand why too. 3 weeks isnt very much time to learn an offensive system. This isnt Saban's offense, this is Kiffin's, albeit with some Saban modifications im sure. People that claim the offense is the same as what he was used to because of Jimbo being his former coach is just dumb. The plays could be completely identical and the nomenclature and syntax of the calls be absolutely nothing at all alike.
I am glad that Sims is apparently far improved from what he was at A Day, but I expect Coker to begin separating once he gets a better feel for the playbook because that will give him confidence to step up and perform.

expectations changed though a few weeks ago. If you had said this 3 weeks ago, then it would be true, but as camp has progressed, this has become the expectation and has been so for at least 2 weeks. Sorry that time and circumstances change and they dont stand still for your amusement.

Since he graduated could he stop him? I seriously don't know. I know he didn't have to sit out a year because of that, but don't know if Jimbo could have stopped him or not?
