No question. Any Bama fan saying otherwise is being homer as shite. You lost all starting lb and starting corners

ETA. MY BAD Bama kept some starting lb

i agree with this. but its not a huge gap.

But i think Lester, Sunseri, and HCD are all better than Loston. HCD might end up being better than all of them.

I agree with that. I actually think that Ronald Martin is going to be playing more snaps than Loston.

what is the early word on the new DB coach? Is he trying to bring a different style or just maintain status quo?

Reid might be the best safety in the conference. And what's this shite about "don't forget Landon Collins"? What the frick has he done?

nothing yet. but the potential is obvious to everyone. nobody is saying he is gonna be a starter. but i think when you consider the strength of a team's position group, its fair to include top prospects.

BUT I think Sunseri brings something extra than Barron did. What's that? Let me guess, you have no clue you're just talking out of your arse.

Play making ability, has a nose for the football. Just in on every play. He is not better than Barron, but he is a better play maker from what I have seen. NOT BETTER THAN BARRON, he and Langham are the best Safeties ever at Alabama.

Upgrade at Wide Receiver IMO

With who?

Chris Jones, Chris Black, Amari Cooper, and White, Bell and Norwood will be more experienced and get more balls thrown to them, better core than last year. Eddie Williams and Cyrus Jones will get a look as well two 5 stars.

Same on RB.

We didn't lose anyone. How can you down grade when everyone plus Jeremy Hill returns?

Did not say downgrade at RB. Said same cus they are all returning and Hill is unproven... I said LSU had the better group didnt I? However Lacy is the best back.

And Randle was your entire pass attack last year so yes downgrade.

And yes I think Johnson, Mosley, Depreist, Hubbard, and Dickson are just as good as Hightower, Upshaw, Mosley, Johnson, and Harris.

Hubbard>Harris, Mosley=Hightower, Johnson returns to same role with 4 years of experience, Depreist will inherit a Mosley Freshman and Sophomore year type role. Upshaw>Dickson. For now. So yes

Lot more focus on being more technical and preaching footwork. Seems to be a pretty different stance than Cooper took. No doubt Cooper's track record for identifying talent in the secondary was great, but he was a lazy recruiter overall. I'm very happy with our last three hires.

Oh ok, but when LSU fans get excited at Mett's potential (a guy who's actually PLAYED beyond high school), they're stupid.

He'll be a great player for y'all, no doubt. But let's pump the breaks a bit. He wouldn't be the first Jarrell Harris or Tyler Love or, to this point, Craig Loston.

I disagree completely.

You just seem pretty hypocritical when you give your team credit for all these incoming players, and LSU may as well have not recruited a single player.

Like I said, OBJ was more productive with bad quarterback play than your top two returners. Kenny Bell has done absolutely nothing in two years to warrant any publicity. Nothing. Oh, he caught a first down against LSU. Wow.

Lester had a badass sophomore season just like Reid did if you forgot.

Lester sophomore

Reid sophomore

Lester had more picks, Reid had more tackles.
What makes you think Reid has had a more proven career? Last year has nothing to do with 2012. If that were the case than Lester was better than Barron statistically going into the 2011 season.

Speaking of Raymond (our new secondary coach), seems he just got a commit that will be announced tomorrow from Rashard Raymond so that's good. We're almost done at corner. Hopefully pick up Ricky Jefferson too.

I think he's a better overall prospect and projects much better at the next level. And I think he'll have a huge year this season.
