Wrong. The Rose Bowl was not a title game. This is a myth perpetuated by Alabama fans.

Wanna know why that publication doesn't exist anymore?

To serve as proof of a Bama conspiracy?

I remember AU having a hay ride/parade for winning the "People's NC", which was voted for by people on the internet and started by a middle school kid from Opelika (or somewhere close to Lee Co).
AU actually lost the voting because USC fans found out about it a cpl days before the deadline and flooded it with votes, so the kid rolled the deadline back a cpl days back to when AU was leading and made that the deadline.
Good Times. The pics of the AU players and coaches (Tubberville and staff) riding thru town on hay bales on trailers pulled by tractors were classics.
Heh

CYDE:
The Ivy League did not exist until 1955. So, you are really showing your ignorance.

So, by Bama's standards, Princeton has 29 national championships, and until Mark Ingram won the Heisman, it had more Heisman winners.
Good thing I don't give a shite about the Heisman.

I thought they had rings but it had been awhile ('04) and I couldn't recall for sure.

Bama has 6. Followed by UF at 5.

Not that most of these aren't ridiculous, but most of Princeton and Yale's came from a time when only 3 schools played football and there were only 2 games

Completely false.

Thanks for the reminder. I blocked much of that out because we had Shula at the time.

Princeton's first 7 national championships came during years when they played 2 or fewer games.
Their next 3 championships came during years when they played a max of 6 games.
