You win more than the buttchuggers yet every Bama fan but me considers them our rival.

Ya'll so crazy. It is very entertaining.

This post wreaks of delusion. OP reads like LSU is some historical elite SEC team and Bama is thwarting their status.
Reality is Saban is just removing the prop he put in place to hold LSU and is putting them back in their place

LSU is not exactly an outlier in this OP. Yes, Alabama has been a thorn in LSU's side since day one, but they're the entire SECW's worst nightmare. They have the best coach, most trophies, most batshit crazy fans, and outstanding facilities. LSU is just insanely unlucky we share the same division as them. As herp derp as Les can be at times, his legacy would be much different in a world with a Saban-less Alabama.
Ah, a Saban-less Alabama. I go from 6 to 12 just thinking about it.

Bama and Saban are a nightmare for EVERY team in the West, not just us.
LSU isn't the only team Saban owns, he owns EVERYONE.

That's true. Miles just needs to wake the f'k up, and has needed to for a while. If he solved your offensive problems, OR, hired someone that could.... we wouldn't be having this conversation. LSU still polls well. Still gets enough national respect to be highly ranked during any season. Defense ultimately very sound. Recruiting still plenty up to snuff.
At least from an outsider perspective.
LSU is a hell of a football club.

The point in the OP wasn't that LSU was an outlier. It was that it hurts so much more because it's your former coach doing this.

The media witch hunt on LSU fans is astounding when we're just asking him for the basics

Well, expect more of the same. The current neutered NCAA isn't interested in going after anyone right now. Bama has always been willing to pay top dollar for players. The current NCAA administration and saban are the perfect storm for bama and as long as they purchase more talent, and have saban managing that talent they will win more games.
Not complicated.
I don't think we've ever made it into Cam Newton territory.
Though to be fair, y'all's investment paid off royally.

You're right. Haven't we gotten to the point---and, if we haven't, yet another National Title will get us there---where it's obvious that we're witnessing pure coaching greatness in Saban? Like, historically one of the greatest ever?
I don't want to lose again and again to the guy but, hey, you can't deny what keeps happening, can you? We vent and take it out on Les (with some justification, IMO) but Saban is going to do what he wants until he decides to quit. That's just the way it is.
At some point, all that's left to do is admire and appreciate. The rest of the SEC, and the rest of college football (other than Michigan State), gets to stew and feel nothing but contempt mixed with remorese for the guy but I, as an LSU fan, can at least appreciate what he did for my school. Pretty awesome to say, "Yeah, the greatest coach of all time once coached at LSU."

Bear Bryant never coached L5U.
