Bama is LSU's worst nightmare

Starting on 1/9/12, Bama has been the bane of LSU's program. They're comparable to a sibling marrying your old dream crush. You want to be happy for them because they're "family," yet they're living the life you can only dream of. This year, many LSU fans (including myself), would've been thrilled to just see LF7 win the Heisman had we not won the conference. Instead, low and behold, not only did Bama win the conference but took the Heisman for icing on the cake. I would call this a rivalry, but in order for it to be a rivalry, you have to win...which Les hasn't done since that night. Every LSU fan can admit that it's saddening to see your old coach become one of the all-time greats at another school in your division. Years past I would've been more bummed by this collapse of epic proportions for LSU this season, but I'm unfortunately growing to accept it as long as Saban is at Bama and Miles is at LSU.
This may seem like a melt, but it's the reality of the program and we all know it. I will close by saying that this year's Bama team has impressed me more than any other. After the loss at home to Ole Miss to open conference play, I saw many tough remaining games on the schedule, preferably at Georgia and at Texas A&M. Probably one of Saban's best years after losing Cooper, Sims, and Yeldon. I don't like you Bama, but I absolutely respect the consistency of Saban keeping Bama in the hunt literally every year since 2008 and being in the top 25 that entire span. He has the chance to be the best there ever was in college football if he wins this year.

Well, expect more of the same. The current neutered NCAA isn't interested in going after anyone right now. Bama has always been willing to pay top dollar for players. The current NCAA administration and saban are the perfect storm for bama and as long as they purchase more talent, and have saban managing that talent they will win more games.
Not complicated.

Ah so we're at that argument again.

Well, I agree that LSU could afford to be more competitive. L5U, in an Era where lsu is pulling the croots...but not the results...must be fun.

I'll bite, and I'm gonna keep it as simple as I can.
That's brutal honesty. And honesty is the best of things, especially for fans of a team they're truly passionate about. Honesty is what causes fans to be a net "chill" when things look bad when they AREN'T bad... and honesty causes enough UNrest when things are legitimately bad to force change.
I believe the math towards the road of championships is in the favor of the MOST realistic/honest fan bases. With one exception. Delusion is a powerfully useful but positive tool when things are bad and have NO damn hope of getting better for the foreseeable future... when your team sucks, and you have bad coaches, and a stupid athletic department... it's a great psychological method to "live in the past."
That being said, LSU is no where NEAR the latter. So, honesty is a solid choice from my perspective. I believe there to be no truer type of fan than your ilk. I'd be the same way. Sure, it's been good since Saban got here... but stuff sucked from Dubose to Shula. That was a really, really shitty stretch.

And it is.
This post would have been acceptable the night or week following L6U's loss to Bama.

Well it is a TnM post you're responding to; it wouldn't be all that far afield if he demanded an investigation into Saban's oatmeal cream pies.

I don't think LSU has nightmare's. Even if we do, we seem to wake up slight less incoherent the next morning with no knowledge of the previous evenings events. AKA we don't seem to learn from previous mistakes.
