I'm trying the help the guy understand that efficiency is not the same thing as being a bigger passing threat. This is basic stuff.

Dobbs has about 50 more attempts and has played 1 extra game. If we give Harris just 15 attempts for the McNees game then the difference in attempts is about 2 more attempt per quarter.
That's not some huge discrepancy. Dobbs isn't throwing the ball all over the field.

Not necessarily a bad thing.

I know it's not, but Rick keeps comparing everybody's "top 2" because that's all they have. Bama has 6 receivers in triple digit yardage, 4 with multiple TDs. Hell Bama has a guy that's been out for the season since about the 3rd game with more receiving yards and TDs than anyone for LSU besides the "top 2"

as far as i know.. i can only remember like 5-6 passes caught by guys not named Dural or Dupre

probably for the better.. we tried to go to the third/fourth option against Bama last season and he dropped a game losing 3rd down pass

You clearly don't know shite about football.being efficient makes you more of threat to pass and be successful when you pass. This is common knowledge to anyone with minimal football knowledge. Stop acting like Dobbs is throwing the ball all over the field. The fact is that when lsu throws the ball it's more successful than when Tenn throws the ball. That's makes you more of a passing threat.

Pretty safe to say I was spot-on about the Eddie Haskell charade.

i abhor ignorance in all it's form. Genro's status as an Alabama fan has nothing to do with it.

I do admit i generally give ignorant LSU fans a pass on here

Sorry. The passing attack at UT with their veteran qb was a bigger point of emphasis for Smart and this defense, than LSU's passing attack will be considering how much they have relied on their Heisman running back and comparatively less on their passing attack.

Wow. I'm pointing out that of lsu didn't have a successful passing game and we weren't a passing threat we wouldn't have 2 wrs in the top 20 in yards and tds. That's it. The only thing keeping lsu's receiving totals down is our the amount of passing plays ran. Lsu has a higher passing yards per attempt than Bama. I'm pointing out that lsu is a threat to pass when we want to be. I'm in no way saying our passing game has higher totals that other sec programs.

Well no shite. We have the best run blocking oline in cfb and the best player in cfb running behind them. Of course Smart will focus on that. My point is that when we pass, we are more successful than when Tenn passes.

This game will be decided on how Coker plays. If he plays well, yall will probably beat us.

Hurd got his yards in part because of Dobbs and their bigger passing attack

Oh come on.Dobbs isn't some great passing qb. Hurd ran on you because a good rb can run on you. Every decent rb you've faced has over 5 ypc. I'm sure you have some excuse for that too, but don't sit here and tell me a qb that threw for 83 yard against UF was the reason Hurd ran on you.

It all starts with the Oline. If they give him time, the guy can sling it. If not, it can get ugly. We'll see what happens. It's gonna be a ride.

Lsu doesn't have to rely on our passing game because our team doesn't suck. I watched dobbs last game and he was running around like a lost puppy. During a interview with manning you could see his upset face during two plays as back to back picks where dropped by Bama.
