Pruitt used to hang Bowl in his locker back in the day.

I personally believe Pruitt will be the best future head coach Saban's had on his staff since Mark Dantonio. I'm very high on his abilities as a coach. However, I really don't want to take the chance on a first-time head coach. I would only welcome the hire after he coaches at a smaller school for a few years first.

Why does everyone consider Fisher a Saban a desciple ? His relationship with the Bowdens (Terry and Bobby) goes back further and longer than his association with Saban.

Bringing him back to Bama has nothing to do with Saban.

Because that's who he spent most of his time as an OC under before taking a head coaching gig. He was with Saban for 7 consecutive seasons before taking the FSU head coaching job.

He was Terry Bowdens QB, QB Coach, and OC, then Bobby Bowdens OC, longer than 6 seasons.

Yep. Good catch.

I think the idea was that he'd be replacing Bobby. Even though that didn't become an official thing until the following year.

Bammers are such morons. Texas has more money and potential than bammer according to most everyone outside your own idiot fan base. However, we are supposed to believe Jimbo would take your job even after not taking the Texas job last year

Because Texas is currently a dumpster fire in a conference with the shakiest foundation in the country? Just a thought

I'll worry about it in 5-6 years IF Coach Saban decides to step down.

I really don't hate Pruitt. He's actually a really cool guy overall.

I said he's done a good job as a DC. I'm simply making a case for saying maybe he doesn't deserve all the credit he's getting and that maybe he's not HC material.

I can't speak for his time at FSU but he's done a great job at UGA. We had the same talent the level but we had the worst D we've ever had before he took over.

Not surprising going from a-hole McGee Grantham to Mr. Cool Guy Pruitt. Players love playing for Pruitt.

While that is part of a coaches job is getting the players behind you, that doesn't necessarily prove his abilities with the X's and O's.
I won't be truly convinced of that until he goes somewhere that he has to build a team up and can't simply out-talent his opponents.
