I look forward to the annual beating of the Vols. If you were sitting in the stands watching Peyton lead the vol band after kicking arse, you would too.

The vols suck. But as my vol brother pointed out earlier, so does lsu.

There will never be a time when I'm not excited about beating Tennessee or Auburn.

I asked everyone in my office in Texas if they knew what the “Third Saturday in October” was

They all looked at my dumbfounded.

So I said “college football”

Still nothing

“Rivalry”

Nothing

“In the SEC...”

Blank stares

For such a huge, unmovable, impossible to cancel rivalry game it sure doesn’t seem to be we’ll known

ETA: followed it up with what about Worlds Largest Outsoor Cocktail party”? Instant answer. Then I said “what about the Iron Bowl?” Instant answer

Well shite, if a bunch of office people in Texas are clueless about it, then I guess that's just the way it is.

For sure. Some of those games back in the 90’s were really fun to watch. Just a great rivalry tradition IMO.

Nick Saban is 12-0 versus Tennessee and 10-3 vs. LSU. There really isn't that much difference in record so I have no idea why they continue to parrot that the Vols are not a rival of ours. The only team in the SEC that has given us consistent trouble since 2008 has been Auburn.

The 3rd Saturday in October is one of the most-watched games in the SEC every year.

Saban ain't winning another at Bama. He can't just put one player out like he did with Colt McCoy to win his first there or luck up into 2 over rated teams like ND. He has to beat 3 maybe 4 good teams (Auburn, SECCG, 2 Playoff games) in a row to win one (minus the fluke in by not winning the division like 2017) and now UGA and Clemson are slowly taking those extra recruits. When the pay for play kicks in he won't have a prayer at another NC anywhere.
