60-40 is not a virtual road game.

Nick is 2-0 in NCG's. I'll take it. Though less is pretty solid in bowls.

3) Special teams is always a factor in tight games and Alabama isn't even on the same level as LSU in that department.

Completely agree

ok. We'll see if that's the split. I expect it to be more 70-30... 60% LSU fans in the dome will be a lot fricking louder than 8% at BDS either way...

Crowd noise will have zero impact on this game.

maybe. maybe not. I don't see McCarron being able to make enough plays against this defense to win the game for Alabama. Jefferson won't be able to through the air for LSU but I think the option game and his running ability will be enough. I look at the 2nd half and OT of 11/5 and Alabama's offense was thoroughly dominated.

He's definitely going to have to make SOME plays like moving the chains on a 3rd and 8 and things of this nature but we won't be leaning on him to make plays like LSU will be leaning on JJ to move the ball.

I think it's gonna be close game that could go either way. I just don't see how either team is gonna get housed either way. Bama has to stick with what got them to the red zone this game, and not get too damn cute. Not saying LSU's D didn't stiffen up once we got there but we didn't help ourselves either with dumb playcalling

ok. We won't be leaning on him to move the ball through the air. just ask UGA and your own defense in OT. When I say housed, I think LSU wins this one by 10-14.

Les' preparation for bowl games is bar none, the best in the country. Saban teams tend to come out flat and sort of rusty for bowls. Maybe I'm over confident but I just see this one going LSU's way.

Plus, LSU athletics are undefeated in the NC games doesn't mean much but it makes me feel good. We know Alabama ain't undefeated in championship games

This game will not be a blowout by either team. It will be a little higher scoring than the first, but it will not be decided until late in the 4th qtr.

Both teams have too many great players and both coaching staffs are top notch and have a lot of time to prepare. Its going to be another slugfest and points will be hard to come by. Momentum will change hands several times. I predict a 20-17 score. I have no idea who will win. JMO

Michigan State's anus disagrees. (I know there are others in the past though like Utah but Bama was not motivated and everyone knows that. Tebow ripped the NCG from them in the 4th Q)

Oh, and since we are talking championships now.... 13!!!!!

Was it fair that undefeated New England faced the NYGiants again in the Super Bowl? How about wild card St. Louis beating Division champ Milwaukee in MLB this October?

I'm not sure what you mean by fair - but show me an instance in sports where it states "after a team beats another in regular season play they can't face them in the post season

If I'm not mistaken, New York actually won their conference championship game.

Jefferson has been pretty damn good in bowls himself...

39/68
502 yards
5TD/1INT
104 rushing yards and a TD

I look for JJ to be around 12/19 for 115yds here. Just don't gift turnovers like Lee did.

He was good enough once vs. Alabama... and he ran the option to perfection with Ford (who was the most impressive RB in that game. Yet, I think Hilliard will be in this one)

I doubt Bama had prepared for the option going into that game. And please don't be "that guy" and tell me Ga Southern exposed our LB's because they're fat and slow.

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but I don't see the option being as effective this game. Could be wrong but IMO, Bama will slow it down.

that was poor game planning on your coach's part then.

well, they definitely did show Alabama's backers are vulnerable to an option attack. Probably because they didn't understand how to defend it, not because they couldn't. I think Studrawa will take advantage of Alabama over pursuing on the option and throw out of it a little.

That's what worries me. They just have to stay disciplined. On Bama's side of the ball, I hope they get Eddie more carries. We need both him and Trent fresh deep into the game. Eddie getting this rest for his turf toe will be huge for him. Hope they give him the carries

we need to deliver some remember me hits on AJ every time he drops back to pass. Get him rattled and hope he throws a few ducks like he threw to Claiborne. Keep an eye on TR out of the backfield. If we can hold him to 90 on the ground like last game and limit his receiving to around 30-40 this time around we'll be in great shape.

Totally agree. I don't know how much you watched Bama this year but normally AJ has good zip on his passes. Against LSU, it seemed like he was floating everything...especially the one to Mo. He would have picked it off anyway because it was a terrible matchup with Mo on Smelley but still..he can't float shite on the LSU D.

It's funny that people just assume that no team could beat Bama. JUst like Utah had no chance against Bama in the Sugarbowl. Jut like Bama had no chance against Miami in 92. Just like Florida had no chance of beating Ohio State in 06. There is a reason the games are played on the field. To deny a team a chance to beat a team because you don't think they can win, goes against what we've been td our whole lives. On any given Saturday or Sunday.

I felt like Bama tried to get too cute and were too anxious to score/make a big play vs. LSU. Totally out of character for a Saban team. I don't know if he felt like TR wasn't going to get it done on the ground or what.

The last thing I'd want to do, to celebrate a BCSNC, is go to the White House given the current state of affairs
