Would be a great hire. He got done pretty bad getting fired from Dallas. Again don't know how seriously he'll take the hire though but got to give Bama props for shooting for the moon and getting serious with basketball.

Be a pretty bad downgrade. Grant was a top ten sec coach. Johnson would be one of the three worst. There is a reason nobody else has hired him

Johnson made the playoffs every year he was in Dallas and took them to a championship. The nets were absolutely abysmal when he was there and were run by a Russian billionaire who didn't know what the frick he was doing.
Avery would easily be a better X's and O's coach than most of the SEC's coaches. Nobody knows how he would do recruiting though but I can't imagine very bad being as high-profiled as he is.

They had this tall guy that was pretty good. He isn't coaching in the NBA now for a reason. The NBA is worse than the NFL for re-treading coaches. I don't know if he would be a good hire in the college game or not. As an Auburn fan, I hope bama does hire him.

I'm a fan of the Mavericks, the guys sucks at coaching. Period. Any fool could take that team to the finals. They were stacked. Look what he did with the Knicks, basically destroyed them and set them back 10 years.

Johnson definitely has some things he does well, but he relies on "hero ball" in isolation way too often. I know a lot of college coaches do that, but it's definitely not something you want in close games.
