So you can't say Saban's coaching is the reason for the minimal amount of penalties

Very cute, point is that it was the exact same crew in both games...no ryhme or reason to their "holding" policy.

It's more than just holding. It's bad calls in general and it didnt start with Saban. This is what happens when their alumni run the conference HQ in Birmingham.

Except in Special Teams. I'll give you he's a better coach but Bama gets benefits others don't.
Just gotta beat em despite that, honestly.

I'm going to assume there is a bunch of whining and crying in here

Every team holds. But saying one team holds makes everyone pay more attention to it.
If another team was said to hold more than normal people would pay more attention to it and it would be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I don't think it is just about one team winning more than another. UF has consistently led the league in penalties. From Spurrier to Muschamp, it doesn't matter who the coach is, we get a ton of penalties called against us.

Refs certainly have biases. After the end zone party, UGA 15 yard penalties in the following few years were significantly increased. I remember someone actually did the math/statistics and proved it.
Really, the whole Bama/holding thing came about when they went through an entire season and then some with no holding call going against them, which I think we can all agree on here is complete BS.

Go to Tiger rant if you want we have a fricking book on it. Bama averages almost 3 more holding calls when playing any game with non SEC refs, and is the least penalized team in the SEC even when Satan was at LSU and they had that disciplinarian Shula there. Even then LSU was 2-3x penalized as Bama, then there were whole years when they never got a holding penalty at home despite clear video evidence of OL tackling defenders at point of the attack.
With that said and it is clear, it has gotten better in last few years since National Media has caught on.

Stats don't lie..
So since Kentucky and MSU and the 2nd and 3rd least penalized, does that mean they control the SEC offices as well?

Not sure about the origin, but I am sure that I've never seen "Bama" & "Holding" in the same sentence before.

2009 lsu Bama game Bama committed block in the back on Julio jones long run. It was not called a penalty.

I'm not sure you can put "bama" and "holding" in the same sentence.

sounds bogus, you know like the made up crap about the refs finding the "Bamp spot"...

I want to say they had a streak of about 500 offensive snaps without a hold being called, at least that's the stat ESPN ran one game.
