Brent Calloway was a 5 * I believe.

Just saw previous post. He doesn't count either because of suspension.

The real stat is every Top 15 player Saban has got and was eligible for the draft at the time was taken in the first round.

Love (21) and BJ Scott (26) werent in the top 15, and the eligile for the draft part takes out the 5* that were kicked off the time.

All about how you word it.

Not even close. Several have not been. There was some study a year or so ago that showed Bama had about the worst percentage of four and five star guys make it to the nfl of any sec school.

When the topic is about the quality of football coaching, why should it?

So many "ifs", "ands" and "buts" to prove Lil Nicky develops all that talent he has to work with.

If the player was top 15. And he was eligible for the draft. But he wasn't kicked off the team for armed robbery, drug usage, discipline issues, practice habits, medical hardships , etc etc etc .........

Really impressive...

I have to think they are talking about their rankings only. Even then I havent done the research to see if thats a true statement based off of that.

Going by Rivals:

2008
Julio Jones - 1st round
Tyler Love - bust
Burton Scott - transfer

2009
D.J. Fluker - 1st round
Nico Johnson - 4th round
Dre Kirkpatrick - 1st round
Trent Richardson -1st round

2010
Dee Milliner - 1st round

2011
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - tbd
Dee Hart - returning
Cy Kujo - tbd

Bama has had 5 first rounders from their 5 star players, out of 8. Putting 63% of your 5 stars in the first round ain't too shabby.

And if they are not, then Nick's percentages get better. Dumbass.

None of them were ranked in the top 15, which is the stat that the op butchered.

I'll say, I hate it for Dee Hart. His knee injuries really put him behind the 8 ball. Without those injuries, I think he'd have been good enough for top 3 rounds. Really like the kid. He's battled through a lot and plays with reckless abandon everytime he gets on the field, no matter what he's asked to do.

Considering two of those arent even playing anymore and one is already in the NFL, I would say you got good odds there...
