Did you see this ESPN piece on Avery Johnson going against Tracy Howard?

Didn't post it on the recruiting board because of the negative slant against Avery.

Have you heard how that match up went?

Edit to add:

quote:

The teams played less than 30 minutes of football, and the game was ended with 1:17 remaining in the third quarter, but both coaches and referees said that Miramar's 31-9 Friday-night win over Ely will be official.

If Ballard played on the 2010 Auburn team he would have put up unbelievable numbers.

As far as tomorrow goes I'll go with..

Ballard - 131
Dyer - 83

I haven't heard. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something. What negative slant towards Avery, I have avoided the recruiting board for awhile until that news broke earlier about Miller. Unfortunately, I stopped posting on there in regards to LSU recruiting because people were being douche bags about it.

But for Johnson, an LSU commit, there is plenty to prove. Despite catching over 50 passes for 700 yards as a junior, the 6-3, 190-pounder is often criticized by observers. There's even a local coach who dedicates much of the commentary on his twitter account to Johnson's mishaps.

"He definitely faces some scrutiny, as do a lot of the top local players," said South Florida Sun-Sentinel high schools writer Christy Cabrera Chirinos. "There were people that said his brother, Patrick Peterson, wasn't very good either."

Sounds like people think my boy is lazy or something. Don't they know he's saving it for the next level?

I'm interested to see who ends up being the better back for Auburn this year. Curious as to whether all those rushing yards by Dyer truly were because of Newton, or if he's gonna end up being a really good back for y'all.

Dyer.

LaDarius Perkins ends up getting the touches he did not get last week, taking away from Ballard's total.

Yeah...just gonna bump this thread. I called Dyer. Felt like no brainer and he is making it look that way. He's the better back and State's run D is still horrible (for those that said Cox would make a difference...he doesnt).

Dyer - 18 carries for 150 yards and 2 TDs

Ballard - 21 carries for 135 yards and 1 TD

Advantage... Dyer.
