you're welcome to your opinion, but we also played without one of the top DT's in the SEC last week.
We didn't have the Bull, so that makes us even.

I'll go with Dyer. I saw you guys against the run in the Memphis game, and Dyer is a better all around back than Ballard.

If you think they had trouble blocking Utah St- just wait.
Even if Ballard gets more yards in this game Dyer is a better back, Fact.

We didn't have our best defensive player, Fletcher Cox plugging up the middle. Also didn't have a key linebacker
memphis got outside on you guys. I understand you can't base it all on that one game, but you can't base AU on just the Ut St game either with that logic. A lot of new faces in new places, etc. AU runs a spread O. They'll hit the edges quick. you better hope your outside backers take good angles and your DBs can tackle or else AU is gonna surprise you.

Trotter will probably be better than Relf
I respectfully disagree.

I do agree with the rest of your synopsis. Looking forward to watching that game while tailgating for our showdown.

Trotter was one of the few bright spots last week for AU. However, it was still Utah State, so it is too soon to know for sure if he is good or not.

Ballard will double him up imo.

based on what?
Good backs usually produce- and Cam Newton is no longer there to keep the entire defense's attention...Dyer played well above his head last year because of Cam

I say they get 110 yds, but both get less than 70 Vs LSU.

State's D will look totally different tomorrow...alignment- personnel, blitzes...Auburn's "best in the nation" OL coach better figure out how to teach them to block by tomorrow

I don't doubt that at all. I also think State benefits from having an extra 2 days of rest/preparation before this game.
That said, I think a lot of people are being too quick to praise State (mainly State fans) and too quick to slam AU (everyone including AU fans) based on one game.
If State is what State fans so desparately want them to be, then tomorrow won't tell us anything. The LSU game will be your first test. If tomorrow tells us anything about State it will be that you aren't ready yet.

State would be wise to stick with the 4-2-5 they ran Vs Memphis. It is excellent against spread teams like AU.

Dyer is the better back without question, but I doubt he gets more yards this game

as far as State goes, I agree with you. We are a good team, not a great one. But capable of beating anyone. Memphis told me nothing.
But in Auburn's case, the 1st game was very telling. The "improve most between 1st and 2nd games" is a myth. If you suck, you're gonna suck for awhile- and not magically become great overnight. Most coaches see progress in 3 game stretches
Auburn had trouble blocking USU's front- and State's is much better. Thats a fact. Their OL wont be 100% better in one week. It will take them half of a season to become a decent unit that is SEC ready.
Auburn's DL will make adjustments this week- they were getting blown off the ball last week. This will be a problem again tomorrow. Maybe whatever Chizik/Roof tries will help some- maybe not- but you cant struggle against the run vs a nobody and then expect to shut down one of the SEC's top running teams

Based on what? He has a better smile. He has great want. Running backs are measured by how many yards they gain.
If he gets less yardage - he is not the better back. To think otherwise is -

I'm gonna go with Ballard for this. I don't think our Oline will be able to handle blocking for Dyer,
this but only because of Auburn's OL situation
