Classic games vs depressing documentary on Derrick Thomas

Give me classic games all day.

I'm football starved. Sue me.

Really dude?

I'm all for trolling Bammer every now and then; but to poke fun at the best LB in SEC history and possibly the NFL is absurd.

Keep watching the Big whatever network.

Not trolling or taking a shot at Thomas.

SECN has entirely too many of these 'SEC storied' documentaries during the offseason.

Thank God football is almost back.

The bad SECN content you speak of is the Paul Finebaum show, that alone destroys the credibility of the SECN. And though I hate to say it about the LSU guys, most of these ex players suck as analysts.

The problem with SECN is Finebaum. Too much Finebaum.

The documentaries are great, there needs to be more of them honestly.

I've been saying this for awhile. The BTN shows all of the previous season games in full during their Big 10 in 60 replays. The SEC shows the the occasional 60 minute reply but they always cut chunks out. So it's way less games and you don't get everything in the games you do get.

The SEC could definitely learn from the BTN on how to do those better.

I like the SEC Storied documentaries, but I also wish they'd show more classic games from decades past. I want to see games from Bryant era Alabama, Dooley/Walker era Georgia, and stuff from Spurrier's heyday at Florida.

Right now it just feels like it's all studio shows, Olympic sports, and spring game replays.

B1G Network content better than SEC? If Finebaum is so bad then why are all these people from Michigan and Ohio St clogging up the phone lines on the Finebaum show? Seems to me there is a lot of SEC envy coming from the B!G Network area and we have something they wished they had. Food for thought so think before you speak.

I wish the SECN would do things like the treasure stuff that the B1G does. I know some SEC fans have some good classic items, etc.

All those Big Ten fans are calling Finebaum because he pisses them off & they are not aware that he is Jerry Springer Part II. They actually believe he is attacking them when all he is doing is stirring up his normal troll-like shite. But as for the SECN...or bamaNet, how many times will the bama NC game against Clemson be shown? It has to be well over 5 times. How many of saban's post practice press conferences has to be shown? So far, at least 4 a wk. Finebaum's influence over content is getting stronger & stronger & I am watching less & less. I gave up on his show for the season when camps opened.

Keltic you missed the point. They may be pissed off but to be pissed off they have to tune in. As far as the B1G Network many of us have it on our providers channels but really if you and many of us on here are like me we just don't know what the hell they have on there because after channel surfing through it I have found nothing to interest me so I am oblivious to it. If I could take it off my Dish and save some money I would. Oh one more thing. The Finebaum Show is being added to all kinds of new radio stations up North so there has to be demand for the content. Sure it is to Bama centric for most of our taste but he does have some really good guest from time to time. Bama fans disagree but Alabama's time is and will wane and is just a matter of time.

I wish the SEC network would do a Top 10 like the NFL Network does. Top ten mobile QBs, top 10 comebacks, ect. Would provide great rant material

I agree, but don't expect him to go away. The show is four hours and dirt cheap to produce.

Thegroundhawgboar, you made my point for me. The fact that they are tuning in has nothing to do with the quality of Finebaum's show; he pisses them off with his ongoing, shite stirring attacks on Harbaugh & Urban. Said attacks being picked up by the national media as well as the various ESNP shows which are always showing his most provocative attacks. I have never said he is not smart; I am saying he is a bama/saban pimp who produces a show that could be a 100% better if he, as he should, covers the entire league. If you want Jerry Springer, he's already on air and a lot cheaper cable cost wise.

Yes Keltic as I say the Finebaum show is too much Bama and not enough of the rest of the SEC but I and most probably you and a bunch of others keep tuning in to it. Still I do resent Saban with his Messianic little man complex and also his hordes of paid advisers and analyst setting in the Bama Complex mapping out the future strategy that gives him a leg up on everyone else. Saban is a good coach no doubt about it but as a x and o's guy he is not. He hires those kind of people to do it for him. He is no Bear Bryant and the only other coach I would put up there close to Bryant would be the Kansas State coach Bill Synder who can do more with less than almost anybody. Saban? Coach is mostly a CEO of a scientific operation. Well I speak with a little hyperbole because he does get on the field and coach and he is as about as good as it gets with the knowledge of defense. But still, that organizational establishment that he fostered. Look for the NCAA to step in and regulate that because of the expense and how other teams with money are starting to copy the blue print. Yeah, I know that I am a troublemaker.
