And that IMHO seldom makes your program better. You're going walk-on vs 4 star, and very rarely will the walk-on out perform the 4 star.

Walk-ons who get a scholarship awarded to them are usually only SRs who basically get a free ride for their last year as a "Thanks for your hardwork" gift.

Kozan and Diggs are still in play. If Auburn misses on both I still don't have a problem with only signing 21 (which includes the transfer FB).

What you don't understand is that there are only 13 seniors max for the 2012 season (Ford could possibly get a medical RS for 2011).

Even with the standard attrition and JRs who could possibly leave early for the draft, Auburn should still be short of the 25 available spots in the 2013 class.

Nope, but it happens and has been happening for years. This isn't a new paradigm.

I agree and that is what a lot of people have a problem with. Is it against the rules? Nope. But is it morally right? I guess that differs with each person. Most Bama fans only care about winning at any cost.

Maybe not but it's not always a bad thing either. Some of the best players don't have a lot of stars by their names. It also builds a good reputation with kids, parents, and HS coaches out there. I have said all along that everyone kid, parent, and coach knows how Saban does things. If you don't like it then don't even think about getting in the recruiting game with him. If you want to take that chance then you are just as much at fault if you don't make the cut. You would think that eventually some will realize it, or maybe not.

I never argued he was oversigning. Just having some fun with the Medical Hardship people.

Your points are all valid.

And it will take a couple of more years to see what strategy (Process vs Family for the sake of labels) is working the best.

And I agree with most all of your post as well, with the exception of this on sentence:

Most Bama fans only care about winning at any cost.

But I'll leave that debate for another day.

I have said all along that I knows how Saban does things.

FIFY

Aubren fans will deny they are processing players with medical hardship.
