This has to be the most monumentous flame fail attempt I have ever seen. Saban graduates from processing players at a rate more than 10X's that of his SEC peers to recently, as in officially within the last week, to necessitating the coining of the term "pre-processing"...and you want to turn back the clock to compare Auburn's 2 medical hardships to Saban's 13? Wow. Serious question, are you an Auburn fan? If so, work on your flaming awhile and come back.

still on roster. Other than that, not sure. I had heard he was practicing some last year and then heard he wasn't, he was in rehab. I have heard that he will never play and I have heard that he could play this year.

Haha... Bammers claiming we "process" our players with medical hardships. Talk about some hypocrites.

Chizik placed some on Medicals his first couple of years. Spencer Pybus, Adam Herring, Vance Smith, Da’Shaun Barnes, and Andre Wadley were all medicals. Probably more.

I'm just trying to figure out why we were "processing" players that we needed. We were so far under the cap when Chizik got here, it wasn't even funny. Do Gumps not know what "processing" means? When a SEC fans says someone is "processing" players, it means they're moving football players, through transfer or medical hardships, to make room for better players.

Tuberville basically imposed sanctions on our program with his last recruiting efforts.

Pretty much
He didn't leave Chizik with much to work with on defense, at QB, at WR, or at TE...
You could argue about the RB position, since we had Ben Tate.

At least they still keep their scholarships and go to school for FREE.
Justin Delaine out for season; Aubrey Phillips, Ed Christian likely to go on medical hardship
The injury news wasn’t good for three Auburn players on Wednesday.
Head coach Gene Chizik said defensive end Justin Delaine will miss the rest of the season with an injury and that he anticipates offensive linemen Aubrey Phillips and Ed Christian going on medical hardship, which would end their college careers.
Although Chizik didn’t go into specifics about Delaine’s injury, the redshirt freshmen from Linden, Ala., left early in the Mississippi State game with a knee injury.
He had two tackles this season, one of which going for a loss, as a third-stringer at power end.
“He’s out,” Chizik said. “And he’s not going to be back this year.”
Delaine’s absence means an increase in reps for redshirt freshman LaDarius Owens, who is making the switch back to defensive line after working at linebacker last year.
Chizik anticipates Phillips and Christian being put on medical hardship, which would end their careers. In that scenario, they would still receive their scholarships but would not count against Auburn’s 85-scholarship limit.
“That is the plan at this moment,” Chizik said.
Phillips, a sophomore from Olive Branch, Miss., returned to Auburn after suffering an undisclosed medical episode two years ago that kept him off the team and out of school.
He re-enrolled this fall but suffered another injury in August practice, keeping him out from the week the Tigers reported. It’s unclear if his latest injury is related to his previous episode.
Christian, a redshirt freshman from Valdosta, Ga., never appeared in a game at Auburn, struggling with back issues. He sat out the spring and didn’t practice in August.

Ya'll are just in the early stages of Saban's process. Auburn is just following a proven and very successful plan, which is a pretty smart thing to do.
Over the years you'll learn to embrace the evil that is over-signing and medical redshirts.
And if Chiz doesn't follow this proven and successful process and ends up failing, ya'll will run him off and replace him with somebody that will adhere to the process.
I'm sure you feel (but maybe don't want to admit) that the gap between Alabama/LSU and Auburn is widening just a bit...and the fans/admin wont put up with that for long. You will end up doing what it takes to compete with the best, and you'll defend your approach then.
