I absolutely believe Auburn should be picked 2-4 in the west with tag lines about having the talent to win the SEC. However, it is hard to imagine that people so quickly forgot about the end of the 2014 season.
Schedule sets up well all things considered and the talent is there to make some noise. Let's see what happens.

The Auburn hype train is going to end in a travesty
How can a train end in a travesty?

Team A gave up 388 ypg, Team B gave up 449 ypg. Team A tied for the league lead with 22 ints, Team B was dead last with 5 ints. Team A gave up 1794 yds on the ground, Team B 2682. Team A choked away the game to Team B in an epic series of frick ups. Everyone thinks Team B has a higher hill to climb.
That's why I said bad vs very bad.
Did they choke? Maybe. But A&M has been on the wrong side of luck while Auburn has been on the right side for a lot of 2014 and 2013. I think that was just starting to balance it out a little.
Now I'm not saying Auburn sucks or A&M is great. I am saying is that the teams are in similar positions and should be ranked similarly.
That said I have Auburn 2nd to Bama this year and A&M slotted in at #3 in the west.

I am not sure the way Auburn lost to A&M last year should be called bad luck. Auburn played unfocused and when it did what it needed to do to escape Auburn still found a way to screw it up.

Could a media member hypothetically pick Bama to win the west and the same media member pick Auburn to win the SEC?
Is it regulated at all or just kind of a free for all?
