I guess the media thinks Muschamp can work miracles.

I think anyone who is being honest with themselves and has an iota of common sense sees it doesn't take a miracle rather just a noticeable improvement on defense for auburn to have success.

I'll go ahead and say it, you can bookmark this. The projected 5, 6, and 7 in the West will finish with a higher win total than the projected 1, 2, and 3.

Team A goes 8-5. Team B goes 8-5.

Team A has a bad D so they hire a top notch DC. Team B has a very bad D so they hire a top notch DC too.

Team A scored ~35 a game. Team B scored ~35 a game.

Team A starts an experienced SO QB. Team B starts a slightly experienced SO QB.

Team A returns ~14 starters. Team B returns ~16 starters.

Team B beat Team A last year.

Team A is picked to win the SEC.

Team B is picked 6th in the West.

Just sayin.

Basically, more people are more confident about Alabama being first or second place.

Auburn, while having many who think it will win, have quite a few voters who think they will finish third or lower as well.

This year, it really does look pretty wide open for the West... lots of unknowns ... the gap from top to bottom is not very wide at all.

Now if only the season would start!

Bold Picks: UF wins SEC. TAMU wins the SECW. AUB makes playoff due to TAMU loss. Bama and LSU lose 3 games. UT goes 5-7 firing Butch. OM is put on sanctions and goes 4-8. SEC begins domination again with AUB winning NC. Ohio St drops game to Michigan. SOS goes 7-5 and retires. UGA and Richt split. Meyer and Malzahn go pro. UK goes bowling. Vandy fires Mason. Mullen goes 7-5 and is on the hot cow patty.

Team A gave up 388 ypg, Team B gave up 449 ypg. Team A tied for the league lead with 22 ints, Team B was dead last with 5 ints. Team A gave up 1794 yds on the ground, Team B 2682. Team A choked away the game to Team B in an epic series of frick ups. Everyone thinks Team B has a higher hill to climb.

Well it is the only place we can beat them. We're batting 1.000 at A&M. So i think hat needs to be added for team A.

Media has picked SEC winner correctly 5 out of the last 23 years.

=21% track record over two decades. The word "hype" exist for a reason.

Missouri (East):
2013 picked 6th. Result 1st.
2014 picked 4th. Result 1st.
2015 picked 3rd. Result ??? But I like it so far.

Without reading the link, how exactly can AU win the SEC but UA win the west...

Several more intelligent voters recognized that Auburn always crashes and burns when they begin the season with hype, so they voted them 4th or lower.
