Sammy Watkins arrested last night. No details yet. But if he's suspended for that 1st game, huge break for Auburn.

"Clemson University police arrested two students on drug-related charges early Friday. Samuel B. Watkins IV, 18, a freshman communication studies major from Fort Myers, Fla., and member of the football team, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and simple possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.

Amadou-Tidiane Daniel Dia, 18, a freshman in parks, recreation and tourism management from Highlands Ranch, Colo., and member of the men’s soccer team, was charged with simple possession of marijuana. The men were arrested when police stopped the car Watkins was driving after an officer saw it scrape against a curb on campus and because the temporary license tag was not illuminated. When the officer pulled the car over in a parking lot off Commons Court, he smelled marijuana. During a search he found marijuana and two pills for which Watkins did not have a prescription.

The men were arrested and taken to the Clemson City Jail. Watkins was released Friday morning on a $1,620 personal recognizance bond, and Dia was released on a $620 personal recognizance bond"

This is Dabo's most important game every year. No way he will suspend him.

His true values will show up here

I'd rather have him over Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas.

he must have killed someone. otherwise, Clemson Police has a policy of not arresting athletes. even if they beat their girlfriend over the head w/ a towel rod sending her to the hospital for stitches.

That is splitting hairs. Thomas is a special talent to watch as well.

Au may be able to stay within a TD or even pull the upset if he's out. Should be another high scoring game either way; probably one of the more entertaining games of the weekend. Hopefully Au can pull the upset and not embarrass the SEC again. SEC!

They're both freaks athletically. Watkins helped turn an underwhelming team into a kinda not underwhelming team.

Thomas just kept Oregon.. well, Oregon.

Watkins destroyed Auburn last year along with Dwayne Allen. If both of them are out (Allen because he graduated), Auburn just may have a chance.

Yes true, but that can determine one over the other. Whose to say Thomas wouldn't have done the same for Clemson. Now as it relates to Auburn well Watkins is who we play so that would be a huge loss for Clemson. He curb stomped our asses last year. The DL was the biggest reason for that imo. No pressure on Boyd at all.

It's amazing what QBs with the ability to scramble can do to the outside run and slot receiver games.

Weed and Pills

On a side note, temporary license tag? Did he recently purchase a new vehicle?
