Good for Jay - I think he should really push this thing over the top. Print up all new media guides and materials with the "revised" national championships listed. Get some new murals to throw up on Jordan Hare, etc. He needs to really get this thing done, get more exposure for the AU brand.

I understand you point as valid for some of the Auburn fanbase but not all. The issue here is "claiming" and that would be valid if it was vacant, especially for a ream in the SEC that went undefeated AND won the SEC CCG (which has been the actual MNC this past decade) as to making a "claim". As for 93', with the probation issue, that loses some steam.

What I can tell you about 1941 is that a majority of fans hate it being claimed because it seriously delegitimizes the other claims

Minnesota was the legit champ in 1941.....some poll inexplicably did name Bama as champ in 1941 despite two losses that year and not winning the SEC. I wish Bama would drop that 1941 claim as the rest are legit.
As far as the OP is concerned it reeks of insecurity and little brother syndrome. Jacobs knows they blew it in the BCSCG and Bama is going to get another #1 class. This is for recruiting perception
