Auburn had 1 ranked win

Lsu had 0.

Lsu had all 4 losses in the top 15

Auburn had two losses outside the top 25

They should be closer than 21 and 14, but have zero issue with them being higher

LSU dropped like a sack of bricks because everyone expected them to quit again. Which they did against Florida. At this point LSU should take the rent-a-win bowl game to atleast get some positive momentum going into next year.

ESPN hates LSU.

They make the rankings, rite?

Had they watched the game, they certainly would have had to admit the losses weren't all that different. The main difference was Bama turnovers deep in their own territory. Without those, it's entirely likely Auburn would have been held scoreless and have given up more points. Some of the discrepancy can be attributed to so many ranked teams losing recently, but not all of it. They could also be looking at Auburn's injury situation, I guess. It's a fair (but pointless because there's nothing to be done about it now) complaint.

Also, the SEC offices are in Birmingham. That's relevant somehow.

The life of an LSU football fan... if there is a possibility to get screwed, it will happen.

Always.

So the one time Bama's offense doesn't play good it is because they messed up and not because LSU's defense is legit?

It may have been a mixture of both, but to not give credit to LSU's defense is very homerish of you.

I think this best summation. AU won head to head so should get nod but being #14 is kinda crazy

Auburn played with a bunch of cripples on offense and Jeremy Johsnon was our starter. We still put up 12 pts. You had Fournette, Guice, Etling, and Dupree, yet your scored zip in your own stadium. Let that sink in.

LSU didn't make a first down against Bama.

huh? LSU had 5 1st downs in the first half. Bama had 6 when they were given a 7-0 lead. garbage chain of events to ultimately put the game out of reach. Before Bamas ref-aided scoring drive Hurts was 9/15 for 92 yards 1 INT, 1 Fumble.. with a ~52 yard pass.

(4:21 - 3rd) LSU 0 - Bama 0, Loss of 11 yards to the ALABAMA 49 LSU Penalty, Intentional Grounding. (Joke of a penalty.. embarassing tbh)

2nd and 7 at ALA 30
(2:22 - 3rd) Jalen Hurts run for 2 yds to the Alab 32 for a 1ST down LSU Penalty, Unnecessary Roughness (Devin White) to the Alab 47 for a 1ST down. (Took away a valuable 3rd and medium from the LSU defense)

3rd and 9 at LSU 21
(13:08 - 4th) Jalen Hurts run for 21 yds for a TD (And the magical play to give bama the lead with more than one uncalled hold )

I do not get this committee. A&M lost to Bama by 19 and actually moved up to 4. LSU falls like a ton of bricks, yet 3 f our 4 losses were extremely winnable.
How much a team rises or falls in a given week is affected by what other teams do. If you lose and a lot of other ranked teams win, then you might drop a lot. If you lose and a lot of other ranked teams lose too, then you might not drop much.

Is it really worth comparing these craptastic teams?

Bama should send the redshirts, gray shirts, and the intramural champs to rep the SEC.

Why do you care about this season when you fired your coach in September?

It's funny. Both have great defenses and special teams. I wouldn't classify that as craptastic. But I'll take you as an eternal pessimist, great traits be damned. AU lost their starting qb to injury, it altered the season, cry a fricking river about it.
