Just a bad guy feeling. From what I am reading, he is talking with Chizik already. I know he could be a huge part of our offense but he brings something that we dont need as well

I believe in second chances, not third and fourth or whatever the heck he's on now.

This is Yancey's latest

quote:

We were told that Tre was actually still taking a class he lacked to qualify. There were two signees Auburn was still waiting on to qualify and Mason was one of them.

I think Yancey's source did not know about Swain and him going JUCO or grey-shirting because if Swain was going on Scholarship, Blakely and Coleman would make 25 and therefore no room for Tre but since Swain is not counting towards the 2011 25 there is a spot for Tre.

I've never heard of transfers counting towards the 25 rule.

we had a one or two Dec. Transfers count against last years numbers....apparently you can retroactively sign someone if you do it in that Dec. signing period.

Some odd and sketchy fine print regarding that.

So Masoli counted against your 25 limit?

Our 2010 class, yes.

at least that's how I remember it. I could be mistaking though but I'm pretty sure. That's been a year ago so it's fairly vague.

Yeah, transfers do count. I wasn't sure and had to look it up myself.

quote:

There shall be an annual limit of 25 on the number of initial counters (per Bylaw 15.02.3.1) and an annual limit of 85 on the total number of counters (including initial counters) in football at each institution. (Revised: 1/10/91 effective 8/1/92, 12/15/06)

Still, with Coleman still possible to receive a waiver to count towards next year's class (unless it was denied) because of cancer, we'd have one spot open for Mason. But with Swain getting a grey-shirt, Mason absolutely has a spot in the 25 limit, even if Coleman's request was/is denied.
