Well in that case everyone is terrible.. We should always declare defeat against the opposing team

LSU is not much better than Auburn... 2 loss fricking National Champion...HA!

Are you talking about historically or current state of football programs? Because right now yes LSU is way better than AU. Look no further than results of last years game, predicted top 25 polls for this upcoming season and predictions from every sports writer out there etc etc. What happened in last years NC game or our championship from 5 seasons ago has nothing to do with it.

I think someone is a bit shortsighted. I think it's funny as hell that Les is now some coaching god but 2 years ago you guys wanted him gone.

BVG is so much better than Roof. When you have players coming out and saying things like - Van Gorder is actually holding us accountable and that they really like the new defense better - I think that's half the battle of getting the kids to buy in. The other half is making sure they know what the hell they're doing, and it sounds like that wasn't always the case under Roof, but will be with Van Gorder. Also, you have to remember that last year, we didn't have a single guy on the DL two deep that was a Jr or Sr and played several true freshman in the regular rotation. Our DL will be greatly improved this year.

I still don't know where they are going to get much production from their offense.

We'll have a young, but pretty talented OL. I think we'll see a pretty big step forward there this year, because it was pretty bad for the most part last year.

Two huge pieces that we have for us this year that we didn't last year is a true, and very good FB, in Jay Prosch, and Lutz being able to actually be a pass catching TE, instead of having to double as a fullback about 60% of the time. Blake and Lutz are going to catch a lot of passes this year. We'll need another 2 WR to really step up, but we've got quite a few really talented guys there. I think Trovon Reed and Quan Bray will be pretty nasty in the slot this year.

A lot of this will depend on Frazier and how he plays but I have confidence in him. He's a sharp kid and it seems like everyone that saw any of spring practices said he looks night and day from last year.

As for our record, we could be a vastly better team than we were last year and still only win 8 games, with how tough our schedule is. It's still a relatively young team, experience wise, and having two new systems on O and D will create a learning curve, but I think with some luck, it is possible that we win 9 or 10. I think 8 is probably more realistic, with a bowl win to get us to 9.

Current state.. You all had a good season last year that yielded an Sec championship.. AU goes undefeated and won a NC... Big difference.. I doubt LSU sees another undefeated season again anytime soon... Plus preseason polls are meaningless...

If the name "Auburn" is in the title of the thread, you can be assured of a massive invasion of rantards, much akin to the mass of cockroaches scattering after kicking over a garbage can behind a nasty greasy-spoon restaurant.

Auburn Fans Question

So on one hand you say preseason polls are meaningless but
then you count the current state of your football team as your
team from two years ago that had probably the best player
this generation will see ( who of course isn't there now)? That
doesn't make any sense bra.

Of course you don't think LSU will go undefeated anytime soon. Your Ms. Garrison and are stuck in New Orleans so you hate LSU. Too bad we have an even better chance to go the distance this year with an easier schedule and an actual quarterback for the first time in four years. Keep the hate going though I love to see your hatred for LSU.
