ts not even a story. Here is what probably happened...the players start whistling at the dog, girl gets crazy and snaps at them, they get defensive and snap back, she runs off and cries about it, plays the victim and tries to blow the shite out of proportion to get back at them. Typical girl shite.

That's what she gets for stepping outside the kitchen right?

My brother in law who is looking into one of these dogs has PTSD to the point where he is on disability because he can't work with others to hold down a job, can't be in crowds, and is taking all his college courses online. But this is a guy who did 3 tours in intense combat roles.

And if this woman really does have PTSD, anybody who has ever dealt with somebody that does have it shouldn't be surprised if this woman overreacted and deserved to be called a bitch. People who really have PTSD can kind of be dicks to strangers over very small things. I've been in the car with my brother in law when he followed somebody 2 miles out of his way just to cuss out a guy who tailgated him for a couple blocks.

I already pointed out the law doesn't read in a way that they broke it. And as northshorebamaman pointed out they aren't legally service dogs, they're therapy dogs.

The following is just to clarify to people the difference between a service and therapy dog:

Just to reiterate, a service dog is not the same as a therapy dog.

Service dogs help the physically disabled get through everyday life as being their, eyes, ears and helping them with tasks.

A therapy dog is something that any one of us can go to a psychiatrist and get a "therapy dog treatment" exemption. Any dog can be a therapy dog if you feel it provides you comfort. On the bad side of this, many people do this as ways to get around the "no dog's" policy. I know of a woman who did this so that she can take her dog to restaurants, on the plane in her lap, etc. as she likes to show everyone "how cute he is!". No I am not a friend of the woman I am talking about as it pisses me off.

This woman almost 99.9999% is in the case of the dog being a genuine source of comfort to her which helps her mentally deal with day to day life. I just was tired of hearing about using the two types of dogs being used interchangeably.

I agree it's likely she did more than simply ask them to stop talking to the dog, but that doesn't mean she deserved to be harassed and called a bitch. The players could have just walked away.

I assume the pig did something wrong since those exemptions seem like a third rail.

Legal question hinges on whether or not dog is registered as a service animal. Just read an article about this that stated her dog was also for "other ailments" from military duty.

It's blowing up the Google right now. LOL

They probably did call her a bitch and walked away. I doubt they followed her around actively harassing her.

The real question is which cost more? The service dog or the two Auburn players involved. My money is on the players.

She claimed Williams approached her and began shouting at her after she first spoke up. That's a level of harassment.

Again, I think she overreacted, but not enough to illicit the response she alleges to have received.

One of these therapy dogs is very costly in both time and money. There is a lengthy application and screening process. You have to spend money going to a shrink who will recommend one to you. You generally have to travel across country to get it (my BIL will have to travel from IN to FL). And once you get there you have to spend weeks there working with the dog and trainers (that's time away from work). Then you add in the cost of owning a dog.

A weekly NCAA stipend isn't that much on the other hand. If you you're implying that Auburn pays its players itself then we already know officially that Auburn doesn't do that via NCAA investigation

This is very weird... Either way, the players should be punished by doing drills and having to apologize and spend some hours working with dogs or vets, but the level of aggressiveness would dictate if more punishment would be needed.

This just sounds odd coming from one point of view and think that social media is going to blow this up based off of one side of the story. There have to have been witnesses.

Now now... it's called the Cam rule for a reason. But in the spirit of the OP... best to let sleeping dogs lie.

As far as the incident in question, if it is true what the lady posted, then the players involved will probably see a little extra physical activities in the next few weeks. If so, hopefully they will have learned their lesson.
