Remember Alabama fans hating when other fans predicted a blowout of Texas, I feel the same way. Honestly not seeing a blowout at all.

That was basically trolls trolling trolls. Pretty funny stuff though. Welcome to TD, btw.

Thanks. Wise beard man videos were epic though. Those people are nuts! "Why you gotta come out here and enturbulate people man!?"

Still don't see how oregon's d is gonna slow down the weagles though. Duck fans say they're gonna do it with speed. Ha. Their qb should only need 2-3 seconds though with all their slants and routes.

Maybe I was looking at the beginning of the season one or something then. I got it from rivals.

I was worried shitless. Especially after the 1st 2 drives. Bama fans are screwed either way. We lose, we suck. We win, well shite, you were supposed to win.

They'll be like a bull through rice paper with your O-line. They outweigh your Offensive line an average of 52 pounds per lineman.

That seriously is the stat?

No not really on avg Oregon O line outweighs AU D Line by 15-20 lbs something like that. Our O Line Outweighs their D Line by avg of around 40-50#'s.

I'm incredibly nervous because Oregon is a great team. They played a pretty weak schedule but they beat the shite out of everyone, and the one great team they played they beat by 30 as well.

I am. To the tune of a 56-30 type score.

That is cushioning the impact of us actually winning and raising the stakes on us if we lose. You never should be saying "you guys are going to get crushed by Texas" since they will come back at you 50x harder when they win. Plus even if we squeek it out, we should have done better. Sort of making it like going up against a non-AQ team. We are SUPPOSED to win.

Ok.. maybe that's what it was I had seen.. I knew one line had the other by a massive amount. Auburn will grind and control TOP. Oregon won't be on the field much.

I'm not gonna call a blowout, but I honestly don't see Oregon being able to handle guys like Fairley. Not to mention OMGTEAMSPEED. Oregon is a good team, don't get me wrong, but Auburn has size AND speed. Auburn's only real question mark is the secondary, but that hasn't kept them from winning yet.

The quick snap offense is very effective when your opponent only has a week to prepare for it. Auburn has had a month.

It sounds cliche, but Auburn is able to prepare for a fast offense (atleast running drills/plays). They may not keep up in the end after 4 qtrs, but they can practice against it.

Or at least we were able to practice against it. Philip Peirre was simulating LJ until someone on defense got angry and accidently hurt him. Now we have our walk-on RB (forgot his name, white guy that got in a couple of plays in the homecoming game) simulating him.

True though that our scout team has been trying to simulate the 10-12 second pace in practice.

I don't think you can condition your entire team to change their entire tempo to adjust in a month. That's a whole spring practice/camp adjustment.

You can't but you better learn how to manage.

So did a lot of teams we faced this season...We saw how that worked out.

You don't think they will be sucking wind in the 3rd and 4th quarter if we successfully execute our 10 second snap/no huddle offense? Hell, defensive players have faked injuries just to slow the game down and catch their breath.

Oh I think it will tire them out some, but we have a tendency to do the same to other D's and our Defense seems to get better in the 2nd half. No doubt the speed of snaps will be a factor how much I am not sure. Our O also can produce long drives to allow D to rest as well as quick strikes. Will be an interesting to see how that plays out.

Me neither. I think Oregon will score and I am hopeful our offense is not rusty. Thing is, AU and Oregon are both second half teams, so I might not feel as confident if we get behind as I did in other games this year. A lot will depend on how many plays Oregon gets in the first half and how fatigued our D may or may not be in the second.

My concerns are:
1. Getting out of position with Oregon's pace.
2. Oregon not running too many plays in the first half and getting our D worn down in the second like Oregon has done most teams.
3. LMJ is a small burner that is hard to get a good shot on. Our D has been stellar against the run all year, but against a lot of big backs that tried to play power football which doesn't work against our D. Oregon is angles, tempo, speed. Not power.

Hope so. I have a feeling I am going to start getting very nervous, but excited in about 2-3 days when the weekend approaches and all the other games are pretty much done.

And before I get laughed at on my prediction, let me remind, that although I got the winner wrong in the Iron Bowl, I said Bama would get closer to their 32 ppg scoring, than Auburn would theirs at 42 ppg. I said Auburn would get about 24 and Bama 28. I wasn't that far off on that either.
