I can't wait to see our five star freshmen come in. It will be really fun when this series becomes more meaningful.

Iron bowl basketball edition is about to become legit. Byrne and the coaches will be the major reasons I believe.

It was just nice to see the intro and see two teams with records more than 1 game above .500 or 5 games under.

Next year we should both be legitimate NCAA Tournament type teams. Will be pretty awesome, honestly.

I'm ready to not see Shannon Hale and Jimmie Taylor on the same court anymore.

Wiley is not a NBA player and may never be. 15 years ago I would have said he would no doubt get a shot in the NBA but the game is completely different now. There is no room in the NBA for old school big men that post up on the block anymore. Everybody has to be able to shoot and stretch the floor now. He will be at AU four years and then off to Europe IMO although I would say he has a chance to develop into a NBA player.

Ah, my apologies. I thought the streak was extended to that ungodly number...not broken last year.

Wiley has the foundation for a decent jump shot. If he stays another year or two the plan is to stretch his offensive game potentially all the way to the 3PT line when open

The issue will be on defense. He doesn't seem to have the quickest of feet. If his footwork improves and gets a little quicker he definitely is NBA material

I just don't understand why Bama can pay there B Ball players like they pay there football players. Is it because they pay the Football players to much. They really need to start dividing the money

Don't get me wrong I love having a true big man like Wiley for the first time in forever. That said, he doesn't look to have the athletic ability for a 6'10 guy at this point and can't stretch the floor to combat that issue. Could he develop it? sure, but not in one year. Don't forget that there are 6'10 guys playing the "3" in the NBA and jacking up three's. The guys that play like him are rare and all 7 footers that are very athletic. The 6'10 big guys like Cousins can shoot, post up, handle the ball and defend.

There are still guys like him in the league. They are just more roll players that have to be able to rebound, defend and pass from the high and low post. Offenses don't run through them.
