I don't think it's a stupid rule, but $100,000 is damn ridiculous. That's crazy to me.

it is. They've got some fine legal counsel on retainer; however.

Damn. That's gonna cut into their "recruiting funds"

If it was UT, there wouldn't be a blade of grass on the football field at all next year.

In the 90s when I was in school I ushered several games. One particular game was when the hogs clenched the sec and were going to cut the nets. Anyway, before the game we were told to all go on the sidelines of the court and form a barrier to keep fans out and it worked. Granted I'm a 5'4" female and had no intentions of touching a person if they came running and I was turned sideways staring at the players but that's how you stop it- line up folks around the perimeter and keep them out.

That's nearly half of what a Heisman QB costs them for one season.

No wonder they came in last in the SEC in football, spending all this money on jumbotrons and stupid fines instead of the next Cam Newton.

Pass it on to an increase in student ticket fees.

That's why I think 100K is stupid. The only thing the school can do is beg people over a PA system to stay off the field or court. Good luck getting people to listen when there is no repercussion for the individuals doing it.

Easy.

If there is a mad rush of the court/field then the next home game gets played in an empty stadium. Nobody in the stands.

Do that one time and I guarantee you they won't even need ushers at the next game. Any dumbass trying to get to the playing surface would get beat worse than if he'd tried to steal the home mascot.

Worth it.

It may very well be another 15 years before we beat Kentucky again.

It may not have clicked for them this year, but you know with their talent they will be back next year (Hell probably this season)

$100,000 may sound stupid but do it again and pay $250,000. Oooch!
