I disagree on the rule being stupid. It's there to protect the athletes, especially the opposing team.

However, I'm always okay with breaking that rule with huge wins like that.

I don't think it's a stupid rule, but $100,000 is damn ridiculous. That's crazy to me.

The rule has a purpose but its never going to stop the students. The SEC office just found a way to make more money.

That's why I think 100K is stupid. The only thing the school can do is beg people over a PA system to stay off the field or court. Good luck getting people to listen when there is no repercussion for the individuals doing it.
