Do you know how many teams in the country would’ve killed to be in your position today?
Almost every single one of em.

It’s tough being surrounded by freakishly good teams who recruit the same prospects y’all target—but that’s SEC football.
We all get it.

But getting rid of your [Mack Brown/Mike Leach/Bret Bielema] coach for a Charlie Strong/Matt Wells(?)/Chad Morris equivalent is asinine.
If your university canned Malzahn, who would you pursue today?

When everyone compares themselves to the #1-ranked team each year and considers a #2 finish a failure ... we’re all done.
And it’s time to get a dog.

Yeah we should go hire jumbo for 75m guaranteed.

I’ll take hiring advice from your program under advisement

Most consider 2013 a success. Fsu loss still stings

This is the whole reason he is still there. There is no one. Everyone that isn't locked somewhere is a gamble. Auburn could go after a big hire but there isn't one that stands out anywhere

The best they can do is sit down with Gus and tell him to get over his ego and find a game plan and stick to it. Instead of gambling away games on dumb play calling and goofing off in the 4th quarter.

Have you not been paying attention during your time in the sec? This is classic Auburn under Gus. He’s always on the hotseat winning just enough then pulls off one big upset to get off it only to drop one and get right back on it within a game or two.

It wasn’t advice from my program.
It was an opinion from me.

Thus far, I’ve been very pleased with the Fisher hire.
But it’s early.
It could work out; it could be a failure.
Time will tell.

Yep ultimately I don’t think he will do too much more and eventually auburn will have to fire him. Sucks for auburn to be stuck in a rut with him. But at least he beats bama.

LSU fired the winningest HC in their history. They’re getting ready for the NC. thUGA fired theirs too. Malzahn is a 8-5 mediocre coach. It’s past time for him to go.

Auburn is open to ridicule about Gus.

However, I'm not sure a fricking Aggie is the one that should point it out.

Their problem is that their rival has been the best program in cfb for a decade
That SUCKS.
They need to hang in there.
If they let go Gus, hundreds of ADs in cfb would look like this, with Gus being the pizza:

Yep. And they drug their feet with firing him. Probably would’ve won a few NCs with Petrino, if they would’ve went through with the hire in 2003.

Just an opinion.
I’m no expert.
And I like Auburn.

But I’d have enjoyed playing in their game today.

Auburn was ready to let him walk this year. Nobody came calling.

We are like an abused spouse with the Gustard as coach. Can't live with him, can't afford to let him go

I'm reminded of the old Chinese water torture. The prisoner is tied down on his back with his arms tied down and his head/face looking forward, and completely immovable. Water is then dripped on his forehead one drop at a time and running off the side of his head.
He's left in that state until he finally dies of.....thirst.

Nobody would be interested in Gus. He might get a job in the ACC or PAC at a mid-tier program but that's about it.
