the SEC is gonna need therapy after AU actually fields a defense of note... that said, no one can predict what the full onslaught of the Gus Bus will bring... keep praying that your DC's will figure out the code

6 straight run plays will do that.

Shite OP is shite. UGA had that game won? We were up 20 in the 3rd or 4th (can't remember) so I think WE had it won.

You would bet on Bama in OT? The same team that absolutely could not stop our offense and couldn't hit a barn with a field goal attempt?

BRILLIANT

Did you watch Auburn football this year or are you just making the typical generalizations

I was talking about the Iron Bowl.
Offensive red zone touchdowns —
UA: 3
AU: 2
Points scored from outside the red zone —
UA: 7
AU: 20

Alabama scored 3 consecutive red zone touchdowns in the 2nd quarter. Auburn made their usual 2nd half adjustments, and Alabama did not counter them.

Excuse me? Auburn forced Cyrus Jones and Clinton-Dix to leave Coates uncovered? Auburn forced Alabama players to watch Griffith's field goal before fanning out and executing proper kick return coverage? I didn't think so.

sorry you are having a hard time realizing that your game can be played both ways

No, Auburn didn't "force" Alabama players not to execute, poor coaching did.

Oh clearly...Auburn had all the momentum, Bama couldn't move the ball when not on a 99 yard touchdown pass, Bama had a ruined kicker that had completely lost his mechanics and mojo, and the only thing Auburn's defense DOES do consistently is red zone D...yes clearly, most of us wouldve had on money on Bama in OT

I've got to agree with you here. Auburn had the mental advantage and momentum at that point. Alabama couldn't be counted on to make a field goal, and the program has a historically bad OT record. I think Auburn would have won an OT game.

So you make assumptions about Auburns offense as a whole, by using one game.

quote:

Offensive red zone touchdowns —
UA: 3
AU: 2
Points scored from outside the red zone —
UA: 7
AU: 20

and using this to back up your statement they cant drive the ball.

Can you even see through those crimson glasses

Yep nothing Auburn players did caused this. You got us smarty pants guy.

I've stated numerous times that Auburn won the execution battle both times. Don't act like the series of events that transpired in the final minute were the only options. Auburn took advantage of Alabama's frick ups just like Oklahoma. Goodness, you guys are really strengthening my hatred towards Auburn. I hope this doesn't manifest itself in real life when I talk to my Auburn friends. I need to back out of this thread and take a breather.

I was over the Iron Bowl, but you guys have brought back the grief.

The same thing happened in 2011 after they won tons of close games and had a defense in 2010 that gave up 25 points a game.... 8-5 and got lucky vs. Northwestern and Utah St. to boot.

Yeah, that's right. Auburn relied on huge plays yet again because they can't just drive down the field and score in the red zone consistently

In the IB...

Bama had 2 drives that lasted longer than 5 plays.
Auburn had 6 drives that lasted longer than 5 plays.

At the end of the day, we were the best football team in the conference. That's all you can say.

You also stated that had alabama not maintain discipline etc... the game would have been over(Bama win), All I did was say the same thing. Had Auburn maintained discipline ect.. Bama would have never been in the game.

Sorry but Bama doesnt always lose just because of their own mistakes
