I agree with VT here. They are not the second best team in the SEC, even on paper. Stidham has looked terrible. Their oline is atrocious. 11 sacks really? 117 total yards?

Nothing any Abbie says bears on reality ... At all
It's Gus. It's this or that.
No. It's because you're Aubie fluff.

Aside from beating LSU and UGA (depending on how both teams finish the season), should we really be all that happy going into the IB with 1 loss? This program has proven it cannot hang with the better teams in college football year in/year out and that's what's digging into our skin.
Last night going back to the beginning of 2014.

That's a 33% success rate against teams ranked in the top 25. Not acceptable given the resources.

Johnson, White, Stidham.... All QBs, all with different skill sets, all look the exact same under Gus.
bullshite. A healthy White looks NOTHING like Stidham. Granted, he can't throw anything beyond 20 yards worth a damn...but he's got short and intermediate routes locked. He also hangs in the pocket and delivers, clearly is a better scrambler than Stidham, and isn't afraid. Stidham looked scared to death.
People forget that at about 3/4 of the way thru the season, White was the most efficient passer in the SEC before he was injured.

Solid analysis. What would you call a team that lost to said Aubie fluff less than a year ago?

Gus is like Tiger Woods, he was on top of his game and then decided to tinker with shite.

Lulz. Who were those teams he did that against. Come on man. Calm down. Sean White is certainly not the answer
The answer is exactly what I have been telling you idiots is for the last three years. Let Gus Malzahn run the offense that he is meant to run. Not what we are trying to do now. He needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and do what he can do. Its so obvious.

Good one. Sean white not running read option all night is their best chance to win. Actually throwing to 3-4 wide with a west coast type route tree and they would shine imo

You didn't watch the game.

How many TDs do we score with White at the helm against good teams? Exactly.

Zero
You have to consistently run the ball well in the red zone. We have not done that since we stopped running the read option. Not against strong defenses anyway.

More than with Stidham. Stidham is mentally broken. It's like he's got PTSD or some shite...and unless he can take the field with his therapy dog, I don't see that getting any better. We all saw it again Georgia Southern and hoped it was an anomaly...because if it wasn't, Clemson was going to eat him alive. Same Stidham, both games. I'd rather see Sean White out there with his physical limitations but fierce competitiveness and pocket awareness, than to see Stidham back there scared to death. Lot of good that NFL arm does us when he's out there breathing into a paper sack

Like he tried to do with JF3?

Dude you have either never watched Sean play or are related to him. He is the master of throwing the ball while falling and twisting backward.

I would be livid right now if I were an Auburn fan. Give Clemson credit on defense, but once again, Gus takes over play calling and is completely clueless. His red zone offense is one of the worst I've seen. This is the 2nd year in a row they've had one of the best defenses in the league, only to be shat on by questionable play calling on offense.
All of this is true.

I was SOOOO ready to be done with SW. His poor mechanics and coming completely undone when he puts anything on the ball, pretty far up the list of why. But he wasn't a coward. I'd rather watch a kid leave his heart and soul out on the field and fail, than to watch JS have one panic attack after another.

Yea if he had actually given him a chance.

There is something to this. I think it began when teams began going leaner and faster on defense - it took away Gus' schitk. The hurry up lost its mojo a bit.
It happened when he changed doing what he is good at. He was fine in 2013 and 2014 when he ran the offense he knows. The wheels started to fall apart when he started worrying about being "balanced". Screw balance.
He needs to recruit the guys he needs for his base system and run that. Everyone know what we were going to do in 13 and 14 but for the most part, could not stop it. They did not "learn" how to stop it. Yes, teams at times played better against it but overall, it was 10 times better than what he has fielded since he changed the offense
