Yep, Jimbo said so, so that's what happened. It has nothing to do with him trying to save face for the first half.

Why would the winning coach have a need to "save face"?

Looks like there probably is something to the calls being stolen. But stealing the play calls or not, AU's D line was having their way for most of the game.

Um, to ease the questions about why his team struggled early. Let's not kid ourselves here, a KO for a TD and a blown missed tackle kept it close.

But that doesn't matter because Jameis pulled a VY and didn't use any KY on that last drive.

That would be an epic coaching blunder. I have a hard time believing Jimbo wouldn't amend the calls with a former coach on the opposing sideline.

Jameis was able to provide just enough to his team to win the game. But let's not forget he looked like Jordan Jefferson from the 2012 national championship for most of the game.

Yeah, somehow Jameis throwing awful balls, and WRs dropping more than they caught = stolen plays.

This, it is ludicrous to think they wouldn't change them. I think FSU is using it as an excuse as to why they got throttled the first half. Not a big deal even if it was true, but I don't believe it.

If anything, if I am Fisher I use the same signals, but make them mean a different play than what Craig would know. Use it against him.

FSU should have changed their plays over the offseason, but really they only had to worry about playing AU and what were the chances they'd get matched up with AU in a bowl game?

I doubt a month before the bowl game is enough time to change everything up.

I think the OP nailed it. And I do believe Malzhan choked in the 3rd quarter with his playcalling.

And, whether signals were stolen or not, we were led to believe that FSU had vastly superior athletes. The players had to go out and execute. DB's still had to cover those ridiculous receivers and the D-line still had to actually get to Winston.

And if Jimbo allowed signals to be stolen with all those weeks to prepare, well, that's just not something I would EVER admit. JV coaches don't allow shite like that to happen.

It's an excuse for why they got whipped in the first half. Bottom line.

I wonder if it was a setup at half time? Just start using the towels and that way when FSU loses they can start a controversy about stolen calls.

Jameis looked bad most of the game, the short quick slants and Auburns special teams saved them and him as FSUs defense had gave out on that last two Auburn scoring drive.

Don't kid yourself. Regardless of whether or not calls were stolen, two short fields and a huge play were the only reason Auburn went up 21-3. Auburn never walked all the way down the field to score.

Why don't you examine the evidence?
In one sentence, explain how Florida State's offense went on a 24-10 run after they put up the towels.

FSU returnd a KO for a TD, and gained 50+ yards on a dual missed tackle.

OK, and did I ever say AU did? That still doesn't change the fact of what the score was. AU was winning the field position battle most of the game. The last time I checked, that wasn't a frowned upon quality to bring up as a weakness.
