Les should be higher, Gus lower.
Big drop off after the top 5, order everybody else however the heck you want, be it 6 or 14, doesn't make much of a difference.

They're both first ballot hall of famers, but come on, outside of South Carolina homers nobody on the planet thinks that.

Biggest basement door natty EVER!! I respect his natty tho
But given the talent LSU has had, given they are in in prime recruiting area in a state full of prospects and they're the only high major school, he's in the gulf close to Mobile and the Florida Panhandle, and close to Texas....
He should as many titles as Saban has. But he shits away a game or 2 each year...he can't seem to keep a decent QB, and now Alabama is poaching a lot of the top talent from the state.
I'm not saying he isn't deserving of the #2 spot because I posted he should be 2nd...but you can see why they don't have him there.

Bama takes 1-2 players a year from LSU and LSU has taken a few from Bama as well.

Chizik was really that awful. It's not really much surprise Auburn did better than expected last year given the roster (this averages out 5 years including 2014s class but look at 2010-2013 and the school Aubie is tied with this year? It shouldn't be a surprise when you think back to last year's game: UGA. That game was also a tossup talent wise. You're tied with them this year roster/talent wise.):
Team -------'14 -'13---'12--'11--'10 --- Avg.
3. LSU ----- 2 -- 6 -- 14 -- 7 -- 7 ---- 7.2
4t.Auburn - 6 -- 13 - 11 - 8 -- 6 ---- 8.8
The only team you beat given your talent level that you shouldn't have was Alabama. The rest of the West's roster avg. was far below yours LSU's and Bama's. FSU's was better than yours.
Gus is a good coach but the talent was in fact there to do what you did minus the Bama upset.

You have to take into account attrition in those rankings.

A lot of other schools have comparable talent though.

Didn't help LSU in the past.

That's unrealistic. Saban is a legendary coach, Miles is not.

Indeed. Despite his record over the last few seasons, Spurrier has actually underachieved at South Carolina. Florida and Tennessee have both been down and Georgia has been a mixed bag. The division has been theirs for the taking but, over the last three seasons, they have always found a way to screw it all up.

Who has LSU taken from the state of Alabama that Alabama wanted?
Posted on 4/1/14 at 9:50 pm to thirdlawson
Kwon Alexander. I wasn't talking about just from Alabama. Louisiana puts out a lot more top players than Alabama does, and to expect LSU to keep them all in state is a bit ridiculous.

I don't understand the love for Spurrier. He was great in the 90's. Today his teams underachieve. He hasn't won the conference at all at SC. Even Georgia with idiot Richt at the helm has done that.

For a supposed fan that had attrition decimate classes left by Kiffin, I would never have guessed this would be the route you would take.

Like who? Georgia? They don't do shite with theirs, either jk
But looking at the NFL draft since about 2006, only Alabama compares...

Do you mean just in the SEC or throughout college football?
