Florida beat LSU by 8 at home.

Florida beat Texas A&M on the road by 3.
Alabama lost to Texas A&M at home by 5.

Florida beat Tennessee by 17 on the road.
Alabama beat Tennessee by 31 on the road.

Florida won by 13, 7, and 23 against their OOC opponents.
Alabama won by 35, 33, and 49 against their OOC opponents.

Alabama beat Michigan by 27.
You think Florida will beat Florida State by 27?

Again, weak troll is weak.

I have yet to see a Florida fan agree with your OP. that is likely because Florida fans - unlike you - have high football IQs and don't base their opinion on a set in stone bias against all things Bama

Okay, got damn.

This is the original post. I'm going to post it again.

quote:

Same record, 10-1 for each team.

Florida lost earlier in the year than Alabama did.

Florida has the better victories against a more difficult schedule.

Florida has the better loss. (Neutral site to the #3 team in the country, as opposed to losing at home to a team Florida beat on the road.)

First, pick out one thing in that post that is not true.

Secondly, tell me how things that are true, (you know, FACTS), are "set in stone bias".

Third, the argument is about the ranking and how deserving it is, not who is "better". The whole point is that the concept of "better" can be convoluted with - and here's that word you love - bias, if not based on results.

Finally,

quote:

As for the assertion that Bama hasn't "earned" their ranking

quote:

you tend to get the benefit of the doubt.

Are you saying that Bama actually hasn't earned their ranking? Because that's exactly what it sounds like.

Holy cocksucking frick, just stop. You have no idea what you're arguing for or against anymore. Go to bed.

ETA: You posted 2 pages ago that using the transitive property was "ultra" stupid and then used 7 fricking poor examples of it to try and boom me in an attempt to prove that Alabama is a better team, a point that no one is even fricking arguing against.

Bravo.

By actual accomplishments they shouldn't be. Pollsters, like fans, use the eyeball test. Struggling against Mizzou, ULL and Jacksonville State isn't helping with this....imo

I thought it was a legitimate response. He's comparing wins and losses of the two teams in question. Is that not what you were looking for?

No. I'm taking the not so giant leap of faith that you assume Bama should have fallen further after their loss and I'm telling you that they didn't fall further bc voters give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the loss is an aberration when you've performed as Bama has over the past 4+ years.

Everyone plays in the same system. We all are ranked preseason based on the previous season's performance and who you have returning. That formula is the same for every team in the preseason rankings. Based on said formula, Bama certainly "earned" their ranking based on the first shutout in BCSNCG history and returning 14 starters.

LULZ, your ball-sack lovin' bro wanted stats, he got them, but now you're pissing yourself.

So, if we're not to use transitive properties, and we can't use actual stats, then explain your OP? Clearly, the insinuation is Florida should be ranked above Alabama, so break out the logic to show us the proof...

All kidding aside, nice troll, corndog.

It's an Alabama world, we're all just living in it.

Do you even read the shite you type?

Florida has the better 1 loss. Plan. And. Simple.

Bama lost at HOME to a #15 Big XII team with a freshman running the show.

Break down the games all you want, but at the end of the day UF has a better resume in the wins and losses column.

Oh, and you just compared Michigan to a top ranked FSU team.

Wow.

Thanks for starting a good thread, and you make some good points.

I, in no way, think Florida is better than Alabama. But I think the point you are trying to make is this:

If Bama = Florida and Florida = Bama, Bama would still be ahead of Florida.

Michigan was ranked #8 when Alabama played them.

Florida State is ranked #10 when Florida plays them.

Let me know how that works out for Florida.

No no no! Defense doesn't matter. It's all about offense to gump fans.
They couldn't beat TAMU AT HOME and we beat them on the road!
