If it is illegal then it should be called.

Illegal as hell, should have been called.

People don't tend to complain when a call is missed in favor of their team and/or when it's in a blow out game. But none of that changes whether the play is against the rules of the game or not.

Should have been called. Wasn't a score though. I think penalties on scoring plays should be reviewable. Didn't get called, neither did Ole Miss's TD. It's over, we lost... it happens.

Man I can't believe they didn't call illegal formation on the left tackle.
Glad they missed it.

i don't think the legality of it is in question.

the question is whether or not saban turned himself in as well, since he's crying about the ole miss play.

hopefully he turned in the auburn play against LSU as well.

That is a really tough one. The OL is roughly 3 yards downfield when the ball is released.

The QB isn't even in frame when it is released. Your crimson glasses need to be corrected.

I don't think that that Bama play is a set play, just a lineman that screwed up.

Auburn burned LSU with it too. As the guys in sirius radio said it is indefensible as they LB's DB's etc are reading their keys on the lineman. When you see a lineman blocking 5 yards downfield you read run. U have been taught to do that since peewee football. If they can then throw the ball you are screwed 100% of the time and all you can do is pray u tackle him before he throws or that the ball is dropped etc.

The problem is the rule allows blocking 3 yards downfield in college unlike 1 yard downfield in the pros. The difference between 3 yards and 4 or 5 is hard to tell in live action so it doesn't get called. It is This will be changed to 1 yard like the pros this offseason. In the meantime all you can do is adopt the damn play and run it twice a game and pray they screw it up or it gets called.

Penalty should be called.
However, Kelly not having anyone to block is Wisconsins fault.

All I see in this thread is Alabama fans agreeing that it should have been called, and OM posters acting like douches
