You can't read between the lines can you? Yeah it's an indirect blame but one nonetheless.

Briles is really more taking a shot at say Jeff Long,etc..who may well one day return to Mich or the Big-10.

I'm not sure I'd go so far as saying that they don't like southern football, but they certainly and clearly value the Big Ten far more than it should be. That was obvious all year. Michigan State stayed in the top ten basically all year without having beaten a single top 25 team.

Would be a huge one but no chance of that happening this year. Thank God.

It will come up, if Meyer was able to keep his team from slipping up like Tressel was with their schedule, then you are talking about two undefeated teams this year, an Oregon team that passes the eye test when playing PAC teams out west, all the sudden Bama is praying for a 4 seed this year.

If Wisky was able to go through their soft schedule like they should have and made a game of it with OSU, you would have been hearing serious discussions on how the B1G deserves two teams and the SEC and Big12 none.

Hell, Finebaum just said Briles had Bama as #4 in his USA today ballot.

You're treading dangerous water here.

It wasn't that long ago all you heard was "clearly the two best teams in the country" after the Ohio St./Michigan game.

OSU got the breaks beat off of them in Florida, next year they were somehow again "clearly the best team in the country".

You have several members on the committee who still think the B1G is still the tough conference of the 60s-90s.

The Big 12 has no one to blame but Texas. That school made the others leave the conference and now they don't even have enough teams for a championship game. They need to find two more quality programs and add a championship game. 8 conference games and a championship game. And play at least one decent opponent outside of the league.

If the names were "Texas/OU" instead of "Baylor/TCU" the talk would be how OSU was on the outside looking in today.

I think it was a shot at Jeff Long who is from Ohio, went to Ohio Wesleyan, who was first hired at Michigan, and was supposed to represent the South.
