I honestly don't think we beat yall but stranger things have happened.
you have won enough crazy games.
2002.....pure luck
08 we blew a 16 point lead thanks to malloveto and our sucky defense.
07 we were injured the whole last half of the year and even then we had a chance in OT to blitz casey dick on 4th down and we failed to do it. it cost us.
NO MORE....

LSU will have over 300 yards rushing versus Arky and a 2 to 1 advantage in TOP..
very possible and that is the KEY. Just told a friend that. sure arky has a high powered pass game. but they are one-dimensional. and with our power run game and PA pass off of that we keep the ball a long time and do not let them sniff the field often. They will be playing come from behind and make mistakes.

it is the truth. I will give us some credit though, in 07 we had to face 3 NFL backs in the same backfield. jones, hillis and mcfadden. we completely blew the 02 and 08 games and you know it. moreso 08 because we had a huge lead. 02 was close all the way you just got lucky at the end. That will not matter this year anyway.

Hard as it is to believe, LSU has a better chance to beat Arkansas if they play Jordan Jefferson every snap. We are horrible against dual threat QB's. Every game we've struggled has featured a dual threat QB giving us fits: A&M, Ole Miss, Vandy. Auburn and USC had success too. We just don't have the defense/coaching to contain it.
If I was scheming for Arkansas' defense, I'd make sure to throw in a QB draw every 4th or 5th play.

I think LSU fans are missing the backlash by the media about the game be boring. If LSU loses to Arkansas they will get punished by the voters, and bad! Depending on the score they drop out of the top five. And this is all what ifs, I think LSU wins that game.

Nah.
The backlash isn't that hard, and there were PLENTY of loud voices saying WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, THESE ARE NFL TALENT WITH NFL SCHEMES IN A COLLEGE GAME, NO shite IS ISN"T GOING TO BE PRETTY OFFENSES.
Now where the backlash for THAT will come in is against a rematch.
It they will upheave the polls as bad as they did in 07 if they have to.

Regardless of what happens, the 3 way tie breaker system is a joke, and 2 of the three teams are going to get screwed in that scenario. They need a different solution, not sure what, but the one now doesn't seem fair at all
Just for shits and giggles, how about combined margin of victory between the three tied teams? Bama beat Arkie by 24, (I think it was 38-14?, I could be wrong), then lost to LSU 9-6. So Bama is +21. LSU is currently +3 so Arkie would need to win by 22 to go outright. I guess winning by 21 would leave a coin flip between Bama and Arkie. It would be more fair than leaving it to a popularity contest judged by national media. (And I say that knowing that LSU gets plenty of love from the national media.)

I think you need to look @ Dennis Johnsons stats the last few weeks or so before you say we are one dimentional.
Do we run for 200 ypg? No, but we do run the ball and DJ has been pretty salty as of late. DJ only had 4 or so carries against Bama.
This is the same time a year ago everything started clicking for our offense. We clicked well against the 6th best defense in the nation on Saturday and should hae hung 64 on their arse.

I'm watching the Scott van pelt show now, Ryan russillo said LSU had sub par qb play and a terrible offense. I know this isn't true, but they lose and perception becomes reality. You have got to remember for a lot of voters this was the only game they have seen all year.

Not bad. I think the thing that most Hog fans are frustrated about is the fact that we lost on the road early in the year and are still likely to be the team that gets screwed. A home loss should be a much bigger deduction IMO, and losing late in the season should be factored in as well. Teams are always different in Dec. vs Sept.

we got a little luck ourselves at the end of the 09 game but so did arky on that 4th down TD pass late. the we drove with little time to kick a FG to force OT. you miss FG and we hit it for win. that was a close game also. very stressful.

We finally have a real kicker, another thing Nutt could never get done around here. Tejada lost that game for us in 09

We really need them to lose to either State or Auburn. Not sure either is a possibility, but crazier things have happened

can't think of a better solution either, but the way it is now, it basically comes down to who started with the higher preseason ranking, which is complete bullshite.
If you take care of business, it doesn't matter where you started the year. If arky was undefeated, they would be top 5, probably top 2 right now, and in control of their own destiny.

There is literally no chance you guys jump Bama though.
