Not a knock on UGA's OL, but IMHO there isn't an OL in college football as good as Arkansas'.

No problem. Everybody has an opinion and it is as relevant as anybody elses. Hard to say whose is best.....but if it is Arkansas', I could live with having the second best in the country. If it's ours, so much the better.

Our OL started two true sophomores and a first year JUCO last year, along with a freshman splitting time at C who is now the RG. Another year in the system and playing together could mean a big jump. They weren't always as good as people perceived last year but they look the part and we have a hell of a OL coach and head coach who thinks OL is the most important position. The OL is in a great position going forward.

Definitely too high. Their OL is just awful outside of Tunsil.

Wut?

How many times was Allen sacked last year?

Not arguing with you, and Arkansas could easily have the best OL. It's all subjective....but sack totals can also be skewed by how much a team passes and also if the team tends to throw short quick passes instead of long passes. UGA didn't give up a whole lot of sacks either, but I would argue a part of that was because we DID throw a lot of quick passes and rarely threw deep passes.

Both (Arkansas and UGA) have very good OL's. I would think Auburn and Alabama and LSU have very good OL's, too.

Nobody on this board is qualified or has the game film to evaluate OL play. So things like putting your OL on your media guide cover will lead people to say you are the "best".

They were the 2nd best duo in the sec last year.

uh I think we only gave up 5 sacks all year last year. and Sam Pitmans line since arriving has only given up 30 total, for a ration of 38 passes to 1 sack, best in the SEC

And this is the best way to prove the "sack" point. ratio to thrown passes.

So that's why the college football world can never decide who the best QB, WR, RB's are! Almost everyone puts these guys on there, and just misleads the hell out of everyone!

I guess Missouri is leading people to say Boehm is the best in the country when they know he really isn't, right?

I don't think this thread deserves a reply, but Allen was only sacked 13 times in 13 games. One of the least penalized groups we've ever had. That would be good at any level of football. We're trying to build the program the right way here and people just want to tear you down.

Really hard to compare olines but the top 5 in the sec are all damn good and about the same level.

For style points, Arkansas' Tretola td pass was pretty sweet.

What screen plays? I don't remember a single screen last season.

I remember 1 to Marshall in the first drive of the LSU game. It worked brilliantly. I don't remember any others the entire season

This. I hope Enos can take advantage of our athletic running backs. I have heard RW3 has fantastic hands, looking forward to some screen passes!

Marshall was clearly our screen guy. We ran multiple screens in the games he actually played in and none that I can remember in the games where he was suspended.

RW3 reminds me a lot so far of Mark Ingram. He also wears #22 so maybe he tries to model his game after him. But he's pretty much the same size and has the same running style. Low center of gravity, good pad level, really quick feet that keep churning and absorbs hits really well.

I don't know how you can put together a top 30 list preseason. Oregon at #20 is just a shot in the dark.
