Houston Nutt out'ed Saban many years in a row therefore I certainly believe Bert can too.

Why is it so different?
One offense used a zone blocking scheme, the other a man blocking scheme. One relied more on playaction, the other more on misdirection. The two offenses passing trees are wildly different.
Nutt had decidedly more "gimmicks" than Bielema.

Yup, all Arkansas talent that went to the NFL. Bert is a much better recruiter.
He isnt much of a recruiter.

Yeah, Saban was winning titles at LSU instead of Alabama.
And Bama was irrelevant among many other differences.

Yes it was.
You know, sometimes Im amazed at how little some longtime SEC fans know about their league. A newb shouldnt have to teach you things.

All you need for a power running game is a solid conditioning program, a gelled O-line over time, and skill players that buy into blocking. That simple. Not as much talent as it is just listening to the got damn coach :wishdunnogifwashere:

that they do. they've been recruiting for that system for quite some time now.

Since 2011, Stanford has had the folling ranking in Rivals recruiting:
#22
#5
#64 yikes
#14
One year of so called "elite" talent. I'm on nobodies side. Just giving the info cause I'm bored.

Defense is the reason the SEC has dominated college football for the past decade. Like I said earlier, every SEC national champion except for Auburn 2010 had an elite defense. That's what sets this league apart from the rest of the country, we have defensive linemen in the South that just don't exist in places like the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest.
If the formula for beating SEC teams was as simple as running a spread offense, then we wouldn't have won all those consecutive national championships.

That was nearly a decade or more ago. Saban is a monster now compared to what he used to be.

Yeah the spread wasn't was it is today then. Just a short time ago. It's crazy how fast it changed.

is Stanford talent considered high level?
They've had four first and second round lineman picks the last three years, three skill position players drafted and of course some guy named Andrew Luck. They signed a Top-5 class in 2012 and a top-15 class in 2014. They've landed a higher ranked class than Arkansas four of the last five years.
So yes

here's that one year of "elite talent" 2012
3 five stars = elite?
eta doubt they helped much, if at all, with that team that beat Oregon
