These fricking college players are pissing me the frick off with their "we deserve to be paid" bullshite. You're getting something FOR frickING FREE that costs normal people $10K+ per year plus free clothes and all the other perks that come with being a big time college athlete. Oh, and he's full of shite. Athletic scholarships have included meal plans since forever and there has always been free snacks and shite. Cry me a fricking river.

Lots of kids get scholarships, but are still able to get money for things they do while in college like internships.

on top of that, they actually have time for part-time jobs because they're not practicing football every day

Amen.

I wasn;t rolling in dough in college either. Plus I had to pay for tuition. Plus I had to pay for all my food, not just some of it.

Talk to the hand, Arian. If you were that hard off, then how come you didn't quit football and go get a job?

These players think they have a right to play college football. They do not. If they can't afford to play they shouldn't play. There is a lot I can't afford to do and because of that, I don't.

Its just kind of ridiculous to say that these kids get fair value for what they put in and what they get out.

So, is he basically saying that UT refused to feed him? Because if that is his excuse I call bull shite.

There are no finer dining facilities and no more food made available to athletes, anywhere in the country, than at SEC programs.

I've recently eaten in the SCAR chow hall and it is like fine dining where you can get just about anything you want off of the line, 24/7 and are even allowed to take meals home if that is your wish and you are within your quota.

Im not comparing anything. You said they arent entitled to anything more than their scholarship. I simply stated that every other student who is on scholarship is free to be paid for their services.

Tuition, food, shelter, and a stipend for incidentals/entertainment and let it be the end of the discussion.

He had access to grub 24/7. Makes for a sympathetic figure though.

Players generate hundreds of millions of dollars, I think they deserve a little better than a box of tacos.

[laughs] But then, I walk up to the facility and I see my coach pull up in a brand new Lexus." -- Arian Foster

I had a meal plan at UT and it's all you can eat buffet. Food at Gibbs hall (where athletes eat) is even better. I call BS on him having no food at UT. This is fricking America where even poor people are fat.

at you thinking these kids aren't getting paid for their services. They don't buy drinks most of the time, they don't buy dinners at certain restaurants, they don't need to worry about clothes, rent, etc. What would be enough? $1000 a year? These kids will have that blown in about 10 minutes at Best Buy.
